My son was tounge tied when he was born, it was so bad he couldn't eat, he kept spitting it up. When he was 7 months old I had it clipped. it never effected hi speech and isnt noticable at all right now. You must get a good Dr to perform this procedure and your child will be fine. He was eating and drinking from his bottle within a 1/2 hour of having it done.

My son is also tongue tied, but I did not have it clipped. It did not seem to affect his eating as a baby, so the doctor said not too. I was also tongue tied as a baby, and I was clipped, but that was because it affected my eating (according to my mother)
