Since I live in North San Diego Country reeling from a hot humid
dry summer, yesterday the weather dropped and we entered a very cold chill, from hot to a cold stormy rain in a matter of a day and the weekend calls for snow to drop in the grapevine and on some mountain passes.. Another unusual thing happened in Spaceweather, there were no sunspots! nothing, no sunspots on the sun was one thing determined to cause the Little Ice Age...

If forecasters are correct, the absolute rock bottom of the solar cycle will come in March 2008. Is this exciting? In a sense it is. The blank days we see now herald a sea change to come in March when the sun transitions from a quieting star to an increasingly active one.
Man does not control weather GOD controls everything...

I need suggestions and recommendations. I know how to go to hotel.com, expedia, etc. but if you know nothing about the area, it's hard to determine what is a nice place that's also in a nice, safe part of the city. My sis and her hubby are looking to spend a weekend there, seeing Monticello and are looking for a nice, maybe even romantic place to stay. Thanks in advance!

I am in no way making my 14 month old go hungry.... but it just seems that no matter what, feeding her is a project. We go through 4 different things to eat before i feel that she is full.... she just doesnt seem to be interested in food.... she tells me she is hungry... by signing... which is great!!!! i dont have a problem knowing when she is hungry... but i have a problem getting her interested in what we are giving her. The only fruit she will eat is banana, which we had to stop because she got constipated.
Whatever we give her, it seems like she likes it at first and takes a couple more bites and then that is it. then we have to give her something else after that, and so on and so on. I'd like for her to sit down and eat an entire meal, instead of playing guessing games with her about what she is going to eat. Does anyone have any suggestions on what their children love to eat so that I can try it with my daughter?

I recently saw a dog at the local animal shelter and his information simply said terrier. He resembles very much a border terrier (shorter hair, wiry) but he is much larger and solid gray except for his white 'beard'. What do you think he could be?

I asked a girl I really like out on a date, I think her parents are coming. Is this anything I should be worried about in the future? It isn't that i don't like her parents, I really like them. I just wanted to spend some one on one time with their daughter. Every time we meet she is with her parents, she is really religious and conservative, sort of old fashioned, but I like that. because they were not trained to enter water they refused to help the child who was drowning. Unfortunatly he died. I cant swim well but I would be damned if I didnt jump in and try to save this kid
