By far the orginal "Dawn of the Dead"

I Walked with a Zombie - while it was an early film (1943) this is the first film where a "zombie" was in it.
It's hard to say best but for the first, this one is haunting with a creepy atmosphere. While it isn't really scary, per se, it was the inspiration for all of the zombie movies to follow.
My favorite though would be Lucio Fulci's gore classic Zombie! I've probably seen that one more than 300 times and I never tire of it! I love that flick, so for my fav it would be that one but best is subjective and I'd have to say the first can't be beat since it started the whole thing.

Oh my gosh! Right up my alley! I've seen and love so many I don't know which to choose! I would have to say the funniest one would have to be Return of the Living Dead Part 2, the scariest 2 would have to be Return of the Living Dead (first one) and Night of the Living Dead (the remake), the stupidest 1 would have to be Return of the Living Dead Part 3, and the greatest of all time would have to be the original Dawn of the Dead. The remake wasn't all that bad. I know I'm such a zombie nerd.

The best zombie movie would have to be toss up between Night Of The Living Dead or Return Of The Living Dead.There coming to get you Barbra.Then Evil Dead.

I dont know..thats tough..cuz I really love zombie movies....
if your talking slow zombies...then night of the living dead (b&w)
if your talking fast zombies then the 28 days/weeks later movies sold me for sure! awesome! that opening scene in 28 weeks later......crazy!

Romero's black and white classic...Night of the Living Dead...this is the grandpappa of the entire genre. And after all this time stands tall...
