For those whom place their religion proudly-up front as a symbol of rightiousness, I would submit they are as ignorant of Spirit as any.

Jesus was not Christian, nor Jew, despite the lables attached to him it was not of his choosing and the choices are always the individuals.

Perceptions of "acts of God" are viewed from many different angles.

These angles are "Religious points of view" and not the truth in the nature of reality.

Time and again scriptures said it was best to speak with "God" from a closet and not to prance around idioticaly proclaiming "God" as your own as they alone follow his word, and this is exactly what Modern Religion has turned into, a Media hype setting "goals" and setting moral standards from their institutional Interpretations; it is no wonder the Pope "re-interprets" how Catholics "may act" "or may worship" annualy. While the squabbling continues in Religion, the followers remain glued awaiting a descision on how they may live...

I agree. Most modern religions have no self views and constantly reinforce "worshipping God" on a throne "on high"; and this is denying the self discovery and open discovery absolutely required to learn Truth.

People have a really hard time with spirituality; it doesn't have much "sizzle", so we spice it up with songs, robes, dances (or banning dancing), impressive buildings and other trappings. We're really tribal beasts, and through history we developed many ways to cope with boredom. Look at all we do nowadays; cavemen had the same brains we do but no TV, no internet and no Football! They must have been terribly bored (except for gathering food all day and drawing on cave walls).

People can take anything sacred and make a mockery of it. I've been to many churches and always snicker as I walk past Mercedes & Jaguars. All you can do is to keep looking for something genuine and tune out the Swaggart types.

All religious leaders are frauds. They want to make money at the expense of faithfull. None of the religious leaders do any work but simply preach and terrorise the innocent people by which they can extract money. So many preachers have amassed money as anything and live in a very posh style. But they will preach that the wrath of GOD will be on the faithfull if they do not donate ten percent of their income to the preacher. We are having body and soul. Soul can not know destruction. Suppose after death we go to hell. I was told by a pentecost preacher that after death I will be put into fire. But how can the sould experience the fire ? Perception like suffering of fire is for body not for soul.

The ultimate reality is within us. There is no GOD outside our existence but inside us, Our mothers or fathers never wanted to have us as their children. But we ourselves chose the suitable wombs according to our vasanas and got conceived. Where we were before getting into the womb of our mothers ? After the so called death we will go to the same place where we were before our so called birth. Our self are imprisoned inside the bodies. Everything on this earth is not real but maya. We think them as real but they are not. This whole world is changing everyday. What we believe to be true is not true. We have to understand the ultimate reality by which our ignorance will be washed away. Then only we will attain realization. Our ego is an impediment to our attaining realization. Get rid of our ego. Then we will be in a state where there is no mind. That is realization.

Yes becasue religion is a group affair, us as humans loss are selfs to groups, its called group mentiality, its what makes mobs do what they do dispite having the good indivdiual sense not to. That aside in religion we look to other people to much, we watch there reactions, we care what they do, and we beat ourselves up when we don't. See to much ego/pride into the equation and THAT hurts spirtuality, so your right! It is also why religion in itself causes pride, thinking you have the right religion becomes the sin of pride, so religion creates its own catch-22 just because of its exsistence. But if people actually looked a history (found in many books) instead of religion (just one, interpeted into many books, or is it many books collapse into one, then interpeted into many? what a mess....) it would show us that jesus nor the apostle paul want'd to set up a church they both felt that it was best left as a spirtual thing, but Rome and some other people liked social control better..... hence The Roman Cholthic Church, which eventually breed other churches, each in its own way tearing people away from their own spirtualism towards the comfromity of religion, and then, then the dark ages, the cursades, spanish inqustion, the poor indians, and this wonderful country called american..... but your looking at the big picture you rock! Keep it up!

Really this question is just loaded with presupposition and false pretense. What do you mean by "Religion" what do you mean by "House of Cards" what about "Spiritualism" and "knowledge of self"? I believe for me personally that I can answer a resounding no, I feel that religion is and important part of my life, and gives me value and spirituality, and helps shape my idea of self. Is this what you are asking?

Spiritualism?? That can simply be another house of cards. Knowledge of Self and the nature of one's relationship to god/reality is the only point of any religious pursuit. Transcending the learned identity alone is worthwhile.

If that's how you see it, then I guess that's what you WOULD see.

But as a religious person, I am both spiritual and knowledgeable and find out more about my personal abilities and the spiritual potential I have because I know I am a child of God and my potential is infinite.

When I think of religion I think of laws, rules, a lot of legalism. Depending on what you believe or follow, I believe it should be a relationship. I believe in Christ and rather call myself religious, I have a relaitonship with Christ. I do consider myself a spiritual person because part of having a relationship with Christ, i also follow the Holy Spirit. And throught that relationship, I find who I am, In Christ.

Religion is a house of cards because it's built on lies.... It depends on superstions and ignorance to survive... As the truth surfaces religions impose a greater demand for ignorance, one sign or omen of truth about to surface is waves of violence through the relgious factions...

Religion distract humanity with violence and truth is often missed.... a small example of this pattern is the KKK,

There are 5 major religeons, so 4 of them have to be wrong, and on the day of judgement no one wants to stand alongside any of the so called false gods, who is going to be holding a card with the words bluff written on the other side
So lets try and work out who the real one is by a simple process of elimination
Jewdaism
Christianity
Islam
hindu/sikhism
Bhuddaism
Bhuddasim was formed about 500 years ago telling us to worship many gods
The bible written a long time before that tells us there is only one god and that evil archons fell to the earth from paradise as they were ejected since they wanted to be god

This rules out hinduism/sikkhism
Islam tells us that Jesus never said he was God
So why did the jews execute him?
The jews exectued him for blasphemy, which is claiming you are god, and csaying you can forgive sin
Therefore that rules out islam
down to 2
Would God create the gentiles just to destroy them?
How to save those not born into jewish tribes?

...Christianity
