A lot of people seem to get upset if you suggest that being responsible for your actions and obeying the laws might be the mature and right way for people to live their lives. Are they against responsibility, maturity, or just things in general that they think might put restrictions on their live?

i'm 17 and my Dad died about 3years ago, but it didn't faze me at all. I'm not exatterating either, i really didn't care. I never really knew him but my mom hated him more than anything. He was the worst person ever and done the worst things to my mom. My mom also told me that when i was a baby he used to abuse me physically. I have no recolection of him at all as they split when i was very young maybe 2 or 3. My older brother on the other hand remembers him but didn't like him at all. A few years before he died social services asked him if he wanted to see us. He said that he didn't want to know me but he wanted to see my brother. This again didn't faze me at all. The day i found out he died i was asked if i wanted to go to the funeral....i didn't go and neither did my brother. Everybody expects me to be really upset about all of it and when i say i don't care people think i'm just trying to be tough or something. Am i strange? Should i feel more upset about this stuff? please help

Drained clear thru cheesecloth. put the stained juice back on the stove. added 10 cups of sugar to 11 cups of juice. Brought to a rapid boil. 2-3 min. Removed from heat added 2 packets of certo stirred it in for 5 minutes. poured in jars and NOTHING, i got a little jelly skiff on the top and so far it's not taking??? Oh yeah, I added 2 tblsp. of lemon juice while cooking. What up???

For example, if I wanted to say "The four most common questions are why did he commit the crime, how did he commit the crime, and how did he know her?"

How would I correctly word that?

My 16 month old female cat, Chloe, came down with what we thought was a cold, a week ago. Symptoms include fatigue, sneezing and watery eyes. I called the vet earlier in the week and they said to keep an eye on it and call if it got worse. Well, by week's end, she didn't look like she could shake it on her own, so I called the vet again. The vet came on Friday (mobile vet) and prescribed Clavamox tabets, and gave her the first one before she left. Since then she is more fatigued and has no energy, just laying under the bed, and is not interested in food or water. I tried wet food b/c I hear that smells more appealing to them, and she won't touch that either. She is just not herself. I called the on call vet this AM and they said to stop the medicine (which she hasn't had today anyway), and if she starts eating again, cut the dosage in 1/2, and if she still isn't eating, call them on Monday. But now, I'm getting worried that I should take her to the ER vet. WWYD?

I've been dealing with depression over several bouts of cancer. I decided to seek professional help. I've seen two psychiatrists now and they both say my husband is sabotaging my improvements so that he can keep me in control. They claim that he prefers that I am depressed as he has more freedoms when I depressed. For instance, when I am happy and smiling, he has a habit of getting right in my face and saying, "I caught you! You're smiling and depressed people aren't allowed to do that!" On repeated occasions, I've told him that I don't like it. We will have plans to do something that day, but after he does this several times, I get depressed. At that point he tells me that since I'm depressed, he's going to make other plans to go out with the guys for game of golf or to the bar to drink. Do you agree/disagree with the psychiatrists? I am too close to this situation to decide.

Like in Afghanistan against the Russians?
They were fighting a 'foreign occupation', right?
But, the Russians regarded these 'fighters as 'insurgents/terrorists', right?

So, taking that line of logic, it must be okay for Iran to support the 'freedom fighters/terrorists' in Iraq, right?
They are fighting a 'foreign occupation', right?

It was okay for Bin Laden to do American bidding in Afghanistan, but not Iran/Syria's bidding in Iraq?
These countries are declared 'terrorist states', right?
And the US?

I smell hypocrisy!
And you?
