Shove it...you obviously know nothing about the fears of a parent.
If by chance the PP's accusations are remotely true; you think it's funny? Shove it part 2.
The police blew the case of this missing angel within the 1st hour! brother that's really hilarious; can't wait for the movie you sicko.
BTW, Is Mikie Moore your brother? I bet he's the slim one. Wasn't that humorous too?
Edit:
The PP's have been very hostile to Maddie's parents, and have been trying to force them out of the country. You wouldn't expect that from this crack Police Squad, now would you.
The Portuguese police have been so smart they refused outside help; why. Then after allowing the room to be used, for weeks, find a blood stain which belong to another subsequent vacationer.
The McCanns didn't leave, so they're being harassed.
A year in jail for murder; that was the bait!? Ooooh, that would hurt, were it true. No time for conspiracy?
Just keep ingesting whatever you're on pal. That's the only way you could laugh about the probable death of a 4 y/o, by a stranger.

dave s -
a 4yr old is missing presumed dead and you think there's a joke to be had there somewhere?
1) they haven't been charged and there aren't any restrictions on them....
2) Lets not forget Robert Murrat is still an official suspect... i didn't hear anyone screaming about him walking the streets as a suspect....
edit: erm Retox.... i think you'll find that Gerry wanted more than 70k released from the fund to help the search for Madeleine, but he has no control over the fund....i'm sure you're aware of that.
edit: anne s
actually that isn't entirely correct. according to their solicitor they are free to return to the UK at anytime....so i'm assuming that the 5 day reporting includes the option to report to any police station including a UK one. It's gone 1am and i'm sleepy but in the morning i will find the statement from the solicitor. I do not state as fact anything other than official statements.
edit: for anne s - i think this backs up my answer although i will still look for the official solicitor statement for you.

I love this quote from a family member "The process of questioning I think is designed to be intimidatory, but Gerry is frustrated by the line of questioning and where the inquiry is going.
"But he's also fighting and I think he's determined that the search for Madeleine is not going to be derailed by this."
Who the hell does this man think he is - so, he doesn't like the line of questionning - oh well, we had better stop then hadn't we?!
As for the latter remark, what search for Madeleine is he referring to - he has never searched for his daughter. In fact of the £1million fund unsuspecting well wishes have contributed to he has spent just £70,000. The man is a delusional maverick. Thank goodness for the DNA results, there is more to come from that which hopefully nail him.

Not so fast . . . they were staying in Portugal because they might have faced charges in Britain immediately upon their return.
Now that the police there have announced suspicion, they certainly would face charges if they return to the UK at this time. They would want to wait out the nine day period for pressing charges in Portugal and then try to re-enter the UK as if the lack of charges pressed against them in Portugal means that they are innocent.
But there still might be a chance that they can be brought to justice in Britain, on neglect charges if on nothing else.

That was the exact same point I made to my fiance when I watched the news. Obviously all the facts are still not clear but I am still adamant that if the parents were not of middle-class status they'd have been hauled over the coals for leaving their children unattended. I do no think early public opinion would have been the same if they were unemployed council house tenants. They are guilty of neglect if nothing else.

your wrong according to the news ( who i am presuming know a bit more than you do ) they can only leave for five days as they have to report to the police station
there are restrictions in place and rightly so
right at the begining gerry said to the photogrophers and journalists NO QUESTIONS , this sent alarm bells ringing
any innocent father would welcome questions to find his baby

Does anyone else read "looking tired and drawn" as a thinly veiled version of "guilty as sin" in nearly every article describing their appearance?

Catherine McCormack and Dean Gaffney have already signed up to be in a mini-drama on Sky about the case - they'll be playing the parents.
