Since the end of my pregnancy things have been really rough. Our son is almost 8 months old now and there is only a little improvement. Will we ever love each other like we used to? Is it normal for new parents to feel like they have "fallen out of love"? We both love each other - that isn't even a question- it is just we don't feel excited and all lovey dovey anymore. There are a lot of factors behind all of this I think. We both work full time but he also has a band that is doing really well and between practice, work, his 13 year old daughter there isn't much time for us to spend together. I feel like I am holding all the responsibilites for our son on my own. I almost feel like a single parent. I have talked to him about this and he has started helping out with our son a little which is a start in the right direction. I just don't know that we will ever be passionate or anything like that ever again. Is it possible? What can we do to help our relationship?!?!?

Roman historian Cornelius Tacitus recorded information pertaining to Jesus, In 115 A.D., Tactius wrote about the great fire in Rome, "Consequently, to get rid of the report, Nero fastened the guilt and inflicted the most exquisite tortures on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberious at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judea, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome, where all things hideous and shameful from every part of the world find their center and become popular. Accordingly, an arrest was first made of all who pleaded guilty; then upon their information, an immense multitude was convicted, not so much of the crime of firing the city, as of hatred against mankind. Mockery of every sort was added to their deaths, Covered with

I am so proud of us Chinese! We have great technology, people and a beautiful scenery second to none. Our food is great, a paradise for shopping, lots of nice tall buildings. Our work force is up to standard, we are fast, accurate, and down to earth.

Unlike Amercians , they always take their time and playing with politics. I guess the children of jealousy is always green with envy! Just remember us when we take over!

christians preach, in great detail, with certainty, of what they clainm is unshakable truth. which happens to be a different set of certainties from person to person.
how is each persons account accurate?
also concidering its all based on one book.
where do you get your thoughts?
have you not concidered that this is all they are, just thoughts, from your conciousness?not an invented supernatural being?

the inherent fear of religious doctrine, & death, drives people to avoid the simple truth, & grasp at straws, like a child making excuses for not wanting to go to school.

the truth is ok, its all we have.
you just need to look for the good, & be grateful.

people are prepared to invest faith because they like the sound of the reward. its not that it makes sense over what is real.

... that He hasn't forsaken us with global warming because we've all but eliminated pirates, that He did not create the world with a mountain and a midget - if you could prove it to me beyond a shadow of a doubt, I will discontinue my nightly offerings to His Sauciness and accept your religion of choice.

Since you cannot do this and never will be able to because it is not possible to search the entire universe at once for the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and there would be no "evidence" of him one way or another if he did not exist, then I will remain a slave to my Noodley Lord.

Can I get a RAmen?

The studio was filled with the rich odour of roses, and when the light summer wind stirred amidst the trees of the garden, there came through the open door the heavy scent of the lilac, or the more delicate perfume of the pink-flowering thorn.
From the corner of the divan of Persian saddle-bags on which he was lying, smoking, as was his custom, innumerable cigarettes, Lord Henry Wotton could just catch the gleam of the honey-sweet and honey-coloured blossoms of a laburnum, whose tremulous branches seemed hardly able to bear the burden of a beauty so flamelike as theirs; and now and then the fantastic shadows of birds in flight flitted across the long tussore-silk curtains that were stretched in front of the huge window, producing a kind of momentary Japanese effect, and making him think of those pallid, jade-faced painters of Tokyo who, through the medium of an art that is necessarily immobile, seek to convey the sense of swiftness and motion. The sullen murmur of the bees shouldering their way through the long unmown grass, or circling with monotonous insistence round the dusty gilt horns of the straggling woodbine, seemed to make the stillness more oppressive. The dim roar of London was like the bourdon note of a distant organ.
In the centre of the room, clamped to an upright easel, stood the full-length portrait of a young man of extraordinary personal beauty, and in front of it, some little distance away, was sitting the artist himself, Basil Hallward, whose sudden disappearance some years ago caused, at the time, such public excitement and gave rise to so many strange conjectures.
As the painter looked at the gracious and comely form he had so skilfully mirrored in his art, a smile of pleasure passed across his face, and seemed about to linger there. But he suddenly started up, and closing his eyes, placed his fingers upon the lids, as though he sought to imprison within his brain some curious dream from which he feared he might awake.
"It is your best work, Basil, the best thing you have ever done," said Lord Henry languidly. "You must certainly send it next year to the Grosvenor. The Academy is too large and too vulgar. Whenever I have gone there, there have been either so many people that I have not been able to see the pictures, which was dreadful, or so many pictures that I have not been able to see the people, which was worse. The Grosvenor is really the only place."

I have friends coming to supper tomorrow. Have just found out that my veggie friend has become vegan. I am stumped what to cook as all my veggie recipes contain dairy products. I was going to do a mushroom and asparagus pasta dish - it has cream & parmesan in it plus I'm not sure if pasta would be OK? Also salad dressings - Ok if I make my own with Olive Oil & vinegar etc?
I'd rather not cook separate meals for everyone - not because I'm lazy just because I don't want my friend to feel uncomfortable. Any suggestions on how I can make this dish acceptable for a vegan or even any other good recipes (haven't been shopping yet).
Sorry if I appear ignorant of vegan diets - have to admit I'm not even strictly vegetarian myself.
Thank you
