None. No printer has "cheap" ink, as it's the ink the manufacturers make the money on.
As a general rule if you spend a bit more on the printer, the running costs are a little lower.
Also make sure it uses INDIVIDUAL COLOURS, not a tri-colour cartridge, otherwise if you run out of yellow you must replace cyan and meganta at same time.
Avoid lexmark, the ink costs more than the printer.

Do not buy a lexmark or you will regret it.
I use to work for Epson so I know whats up with the horror stories, lol from ALL makers.
EPSON, HP, CANNON
Those are your options...
Some lexmark printers are 29$ so you say ya know what 29$ isn't bad, but what you don't see is black costing you 34$ and color costing 33$ so, when you replace ink, which will be very often, you just bought 2 brand new printers... just keep that in mind. Look for a good printer but also be aware of the ink costs. Those are the costs many people fail to look at before buying a printer.

I have tried Lexmark, Epson and HP and was not very impressed with any of them. I now have the Canon Pixma MP180 and it is brilliant. It prints, scans, photocopies and you have a card reader on it as well. It is the best I have found for ink economy. My family does a lot of printing in both colour and black and white so it needs to be. The cheapest that I have found the inks was at Sainsburys. I hope that this helps.lol

Cartridges cost a lot... And I'm stuck with an HP inkjet printer which let its cartridges dry all the time... So if I can give you my advice; thing that I'll do in the near future : I'll get a laser printer.
Yes, it costs 3 to 4 times the price for the printer and cartridges are not given either, but they don't dry, and you can print many many more pages with one of them! :D
Just my thoughts!

take a look at Cannon Pixmania MP600. we looked into this an found them cheapest and the print quality is excellent. this model is for scanning, printing copying, etc., but there is a model which just does printing. There are comparison websites you could try. I'll see if I can find you one.
If you type in PRINTER REVIEWS there is quite a selection to view.
Get one that has independent colour refills; cheaper than having an all in one which needs replacing when just one colour is used up.
