YA is NOTORIOUS for having people that post questions to get a specific answer.
I have seen many a ridiculous post asking a pseudo-question and when someone responds by validating that question, with an equally inane response, they get validated by a best answer and some idiotic comment like "right on the money"
People like this should include the answer they are looking for in the question to make it easier for the answerer to discern if someone wants someone else's opinion or to be validated on their own..
ie, question: "do the LA Dodgers suck or what".
Best answer: "Ya, they do"
Comments: "yes, I agree"
while other answers are
"They are quite good this year, they have a chance at the playoffs and they have a deep farm system which constantly comes up in trade talks"
and that answer gets no love.

Because when some people ask questions, they don't really want the answer, and they don't really want to generate an intelligent discussion--they just want to start fights with people over the computer. After they post the question, they actually hope someone with a different opinion answers so they can get upset with and insult that person.
Sometimes these people are easy to spot. They're the ones who ask questions like "Why are all (insert team name here) fans (insert insult here)?". Others are a little better at masking their questions with an air of legitimacy.
I'm not sure why they like to do this. My guess is that they get bullied at school, which is probably very bad for their
self esteem. Maybe picking fights over the computer makes them feel tough and brings some of their self esteem back.

I agree. I just come on here to express my opinion when I answer. I think thats what everyone else does too. Forget the points. Who cares? I can't believe people are obsessed with it.
But when people ask a question it makes me mad when they always pick the best answer to be the one that agrees with there opinion. The best answer is not always the one that agrees with you. Choose the best answer.
And for the HGH question. I say not as much as it is today.

The majority of the people on here have absolutely no clue when it comes to baseball.
If I had to venture a guess, I'd say about 8% of the answerers have baseball knowledge. Which is probably around the amount that have taken HGH in MLB.

i totally agree with you. There is no point in asking questions and then getting upset because the answer wasn't what you wanted it to be.
As far as HGH...I am not sure if they all used it, but I do think a large majority used some type of performance enhancing substance before the crackdown.

Some people "know they're right" and refuse to acknowledge a difference of opinion.
It was used by many players (not sure if it's the majority though).
If there is a way to gain an advantage, you know people will line up to do so and after enough people do that, then people line up to do it just to keep up.

Opinions should be based on facts not feelings. When opinions are based on love and hate they are not objective.
I am always looking for another way of looking at things not to be told I am wrong simply because i choose to root for the wrong laundry.
HGH was used by way more players than YOU would want to know.
