One day in high school, I felt sick on the bus. A guy told me I looked like a corpse. It hurt my feelings at the time, but later on, I realized that I was probably very pale. I figure that if I'm not feeling well, there's no need to expect to look ready for a beauty pageant.

Another time, some friends and I (all girls) were trying to figure out what male celebrities we looked like. Somebody told me that I looked like Tim Burton. I was originally insulted because not only did I look like a man, but he's not that attractive. I recovered from that by recognizing that creativity is sexy, and it's kind of flattering to be compared to a brilliant director.

You must have heard that "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder"--or " The world is as we are".

Therefore, you should probably have compassion for the one who is not able to see things for what they really are--an expression of the divine. The person who does not recognize your beauty has limited vision.

Let it go. It's not worth your attention.

Yes! Elmer Fudd!
And, I took it in good stride, I do have a great sense of humor, I just hope they did as well when I didn't sign off on their pay raise!

Thank you,

Danny DeVito's name sometimes comes up when people are talking about me. I usually respond with scissor-kicks.
