My husband and I filed for divorce but he still feels compelled to take care of the house. It is still in both our names and he is giving me alimony and child support. I don't mind him helping out, but he even feels obligated to take care of the yard by mowing and weed eating. He says that he still has an interest in the house and it's still his too. Is there more to it? Is this normal?

We do have a daughter and she does live with me too. Is this his way of taking care of her too?

I have an iMac running 10.3.9, with an 80gb drive and 17gb space remaining. My wife has an AOL account. We have a cable modem connection. The AOL software is AOL 10.3.7.

She says she keeps 1) getting bounced off & 2) in mid-session, while answering an e-mail or whatever, the AOL version of the spinning beach ball (a grey one) turns up and spins and spins. Essentially, the program constantly freezes. And she says some artwork either never loads or half-loads. She often gets a message saying: "Your AOL session has ended because the AOL host was unable to start a new session. Please try to sign on again." She has never had a problem-free session and rages at our Mac (understandably). At her job, on her PC, she never has these problems. I do not use AOL myself, and know nothing.

Is this normal?
Is there anything I can do to change this?
Are there any setting I can tweak?
It has been a problem since we initially got the Mac, even though I have upgraded the AOL software as needed.

A funeral car goes slowly by and one of them just stops mid-swing, takes off his cap, and bows his head until the hearse has gone by. Then he resumes his stroke.

His mate says 'wow. That was one of the most respectable things I have ever seen, steve'

Steve answers 'well it was only right. I mean, we were married 25 years.'

I've practiced Karate and Drunken Kung Fu in the past, but Tae Kwon Do is my major art. I've gotten to black belt in Chung Do Kwan, and I'm a currently a blue belt in Moo Duk Kwan.
I'm 5'11" and 154 pounds. Most of my weight is distrbuted in my lower body, and my legs are pretty long.
I know trying a grappling art is a good idea, but I haven't decided which one I want to take after I get my black belt in Moo Duk Kwan.
Which do you suggest and why? Hapkido?Jujutsu?Sambo?Aikido?Judo?

Kimbah is now 17. Male, desexed feline. He has spondylosis and I can see, has problems rising and getting into a lying position. He gets the wobbles up when he walks as well.
He's also now started to miss his litter and is invariably targeting rooms in the house.
He eats like a horse but really, is skin and bones.
Above all, he still loves to be stroked.
When do I know whether he's too uncomfortable in this life? I had always thought I would know it was 'time' when he stopped eating and stopped looking for love but now, given his toileting and watching him try to get settled....I'm not so sure. Thoughts?

a lot of people seems to believe in god and the bible and all that i don't. think what you will. i look at it as nothing more than something people came up with to give hope reason something to look forward to. i think it is a story written by man in nothing more than a book. Jesus wuz human one day divine the next. i have learned a lot on the topic of god but so much goes unexplained and people are so quick to believe and yet they make fun or think witchcraft is stupid. believe in neither its just an outside perspective. people that believe in god are so quick to disregard everything else mythological or magical seems to me to be more hypocritical than anything because non of you have proof of any of it and yet you critisize what others believe and think they are going to hell for it. oh and those of you who believe so whole much why is it you do not follow the rules of your bible and figure god will forgive you. maybe he does exist but i would rather burn in hell than serve in heaven

A blonde is on her way to work one day when she passes a shop and notices a shinny object in the window. She walks in and asks the clerk what it is.

"Its a thermos"
"What does it do?"
"It keeps hot things hot and cold things cold"

So she buys it and goes to work.

A little while later her boss, another blonde, walks by and sees the thermos.

"What is it?"
"Its a thermos"
"What does it do?"
"It keeps hot things hot and cold things cold"
"What do you have in it?"
"Two cups of coffee and a popsicle"

With her early release, who thinks that if she were black she would have to serve all and probably more of her sentence.
People are saying it's harsh because shes famous, SHE keeps breaking the rules because she's famous and knows she can get away with it, I think its disgusting and I strongly feel if she was of any other colour than white, she would serve her full sentence. It makes me soooo cross!
What are your thoughts?

Since Lokasenna went in 14 days from being the leading expert in Asatru to a very outspoken fervent atheist, shouldn't she change her name now?
Since her name derives from a semi-religious Asatru text from the poetic Edda and contains the name of a Norse deity which she now denies the existance of...?

Don't you think some real Asatruar might be insulted by this?

I got my haircut last Friday at a salon. It was my birthday so after she had cut and washed it she styled it really nicely for me and I was quite happy with the result. When I eventually had to style it myself it was impossible. I tried all sorts of different approaches and nothing would work. I went back to the hairdresser today and she touched it up for me and then blow-dried it. I wasn't really expecting to pay but they ended up charging me for the blow dry. Should I have paid considering the only reason I went back is because I was unhappy with the first cut?
