Yes, You were happy with the cut when you left the salon the 1st time. We don't get to rethink things for a few days before we decide if we should have paid for it or not.

If I left happy originally then I'd expect to pay for future services. You say they only charged you for the blow dry, not the "touch up" so that seems fair enough. You could've declined the blow dry and gone home and finished styling it yourself.
It would've been nice if they'd not charged, but I don't think it was inappropriate to do so. Your hair was dried/styled so you could go out into public ready to go...most shops charge for a wash n' dry so it makes sense they'd charge for the dry even if not any cutting to "fix" the hairstyle in a manner easier for you to deal with.

You should not pay for your hair to be redone if you weren't happy with it.. I had my hair cut not long ago and the hairdresser said to me, that if I didnt like it come back and they would do more to it so I would like it. But would have to go back the next day though. If it was the cut you were unhappy about, then you shouldn't of paid, but for blow drying it, I think you would have to pay. But you should of really asked the hair dresser first.

if you were unhappy from the start you should have said something immediately and it is kind of hard to say when you were happy with the style initially. Usually when we all go to the hairdresser we can not do anything with it afterwards unless the cut is just bad and if they were fixing you up because of you unhappiness then no you should not have paid anything because thay can not do your hair w/o blowdrying it, but you did and that is where you messed up

yes you had to because when you went the first time you were happy.. if initially from the beginning you wouldnt have liked it... i dont think she would have charged you... But you did.. the only reason why you complained was because you werent able to style the new do' yourself... You need to ask your hairdresser on how to style your hair.. or just keep practicing because practice makes perfect... Plus, that is her job to make the client and she did. She earned her pay =D

The thing is you were happy in the first place, I would have explained to them that you couldn't do it the same yourself, so could they take 5 minutes to tell you how to achieve the same result, if they are a good salon, they shouldn't mind giving you 5 minutes advice for free. The trouble is you simply went back in to have your hair done, they were none of the wiser and therefore obviously they are going to charge you for their time.

You shouldn't even have gone out the second time. And if you were unhappy with the first cut then you should have asked what you could do to your hair each morning. And no you you probably should not have paid. ( dont go back there a third time! jk)

I do not think she should have charged you. Always ask before you leave. I got my hair cut recently. My bangs were a little long and I asked if she would fix them (for free) if i got home and didn't like their length. A good hairdresser should always try to do all she can to keep her customers happy. You should tel her how you feel if you have a good relationship w/ her.

Well, it sounds like the hairdresser is being critical, rather than helpful. If her expressions were informative and followed by recommendations for how to improve the situation, you would probably not feel offended. So, I would assume that she does not want your business. Go to a different salon.

You should not have to of paid. It should have been redone as a courtesy to the customer to make the customer happy. A happy customer is return business and word of mouth advertising as well as a good haircut is great advertising for an establishment. So, they shouldn't have charged you.
