You can smoke in the works car park, or in your car or both, and the new legislation coming in this July will not affect that.

Hi,
As I read it, you can do what you want within decent reason in your own car. OK, it may be on company property, but it is your property, therefore exempt from having a quick smoke.
Things have gone daft in this area. I smoke the odd small cigar, but I,m jiggered if I am going to stand in the middle of a feild on a rainy day, after a meal, to have a quick puff of the fragronic weed.
I have a boat, and cruise around often with meals, music, beers, and cigars on the back deck in the middle of nowhere in particular. Is a police boat going to thrash up behind me with lights a-flashing, and tick me off for the tobacco smoke ?
This is all daft, and getting out of hand.
I don't condone smoking, and my two sons have promised to say no to a ciggy, which is fine.
But let us hear it for freedom of choice.

Bob

Yes, if its your own car, then you can do what you want in it.

If its a works car then you can smoke in it if its used solely by you and no one else.

How do you expect anyone to answer your question when we don't even know where this 'car park' is located?

I suggest all smokers should boycott pubs, clubs football matches etc for as long as it takes to cripple the greedy bastards who rely on smokers for their income but have done nothing about objecting to stupid bans.

You are still on private property and must adhere to the owners rules.
