It seems like voting one way or the other doesnt fix deep seated problems - for example the influence of corporations over goverment through lobbyists, the influence of ownership concentrated media. Its easy to speak out against this sort of thing - but what realistic things can citizens do to actually bring about change?

A man who's wife was pregnant couldn't bear to be in the delivery room at the time of the birth.
So he thought he'd ring up later to see if it had come yet.
He rang up and the nurse said "it's a girl but theres another one on the way"
he rang again later and the nurse said "it's another girl but there's another coming"
he rang once more and the nurse said " it's a boy but there's another coming"
He couldn't stand it any more so he went to the pub and got drunk.
An hour later he was really nervous. He was dialling the hospital, hands shaking, and accidently dialled the sports line. he asked " how many did we get mate" the person said "198 all out.... and the last one was a duck"

The full song title is I'm Like a Lawyer with the way I'm always trying to get you off. The lyrics seem to remind me of someone who is regretful of a past relationship gone bad, but I can't tell for sure.

How does this quote make you feel and what do you think about it?

"Q. What message would you like to give to the West?

A. I would like to repeat that Islam is a religion of Peace. Westerners should not be carried away by false propaganda against Islam or Muslims. True that there is an element of terrorism among the Muslim community. But so it is in any other religion. If some followers of a religion violate its teachings the blame lies on the followers not on the religion. How many Christians practice the peaceful edict of Bible: ’if someone slaps you on one cheek turn the other cheek also towards him’? And still no one will deny that Christianity teaches LOVE and PEACE. The same approach should be adopted when forming an opinion about Islam."

Fellow Christians - have you ever noticed that when you direct a question to Christians, that un-believers come out of the woodwork to put in their comments as well, as sarcastic as they are?

I think it is interesting that they claim to not believe, yet they answer questions that are not directed to them regarding a subject that they claim to not believe in.

Your thoughts?

I bought new peas, shelled, to make a soup. When I put them into the water, worms started surfacing, a lot of worms. So, now I am wondering: whose peas are these, legally? Do they belong to worms, since they were in possession, and moved in first, or are they mine, since I paid for them?
If the first is true, why they were sold to me?
If second: why the tenants were not evicted?

First: I have seen those ads where you can sell your home quick (some even advertise getting the cash in 48hrs) and I didn't know if they were legit. Do they affect your credit in any way?

Secondly: I'm due to have a baby in 2 months. Is it possible (or safe) to make a move within this time frame?

We have been fighting to keep our house for some time now. I think it's smart to know when to back out of a situation before it becomes worse. I've tried contacting our mortgage company and they seemed shocked that we were trying to recitfy a situation considering we weren't in that bad yet. (We've only been over 30 days once). The problem is when I take my maturnity leave I will not be paid one cent from my place of employment- aside from the vacation I've been saving for this situation. And so the cause for my pressing questions... Thanks for any advice in advance!
