yes,if someone is in danger I couldnt NOT help.If I sat back and did nothing and they died when I could have helped EVEN if that meant giving up my life I dont see how I could live with myself knowing I could have prevented their death and didnt even try

If it would save alot of people I would make the sacrifice. There lots of things to be considered. You need to figure out what the end result would be.
My philosophy in life is GIVE to others and don't worry about what you may get in return.

This is going to sound very harsh, but NO. I may have done on impulse before I was a mother, but now I have my daughter I have this inbuilt survival programme that constantly runs, telling me I must stay well and alive and in one piece to raise my daughter. The thought of my daughter and the fact that my actions in those circumstances would deprive her of a mother would I think hold me back from acting on impulse. Someone else would have to be the hero.

It wouldn't be my intention to die helping someone, but I'm not going to let someone suffer if they have a chance and I see a way to help. Of course, jumping into a burning car to rescue someone isn't an option. Prudence must be exercised in these situations.

Absolutely. I served in the US Army and was willing every single day. In fact, all of our troops that serve are willing to give up their life for someone they don't know. I'm grateful for it...I hope you are.

I would sure have to think about it and know that person was worth giving up my life for. Why waste a good life for someone like a serial killer?

I doubt it. I suppose there could be a scenario when the person in question is so extraordinary that it's obvious to me their life is more important than mine, and then - maybe.
