We have a nephew who is in his 20s (we are in our 30s w/14 yr old daughter) and is in the USCG. He seems to be "on shore leave" every few weeks and will just show up at our house without calling, or will give short notice ("hey i'm on the way") before coming. When he arrives, he tends to basically sit around, watch TV, eat our food and make a mess. He basically comes and goes like it is his own home.

At first we had no problem accomodating him. In fact, prior to his enlisting in the USCG, he lived with us for a period of time. But even then, his plan was to stay "one month," but after he spent all his savings in one week, one month became more like four months.

My wife is now in her ninth month of pregnancy and his act of just showing up is beginning to wear on us both.

Does anyone find this rude and/or inconsiderate? How do we broach this topic with him w/o hurting feelings? I'm trying to understand why I'm so bent out of shape about it....

Here in the U.K in the past few weeks 5 teenagers have been stabbed and killed in seperate incidents,a vicar was stabbed to death on his own doorstep,a father killed and raped his 2 month old daughter,a 7 year old boy stabbed a neighbour over 20 times,a father beat his wife and 3 young children to death with a baseball bat,a 12 year old boy hung himself because of bullying, pensioners are beaten for a few pounds and kids as young as 7 are selling drugs in school.
My question is how have things gotten so bad that you're scared to leave your home, that you can't let your kids out incase their mollested or attacked.we've all been led to believe that it was brutal and bl00dy throughout history, but was it ever THIS bad?

If so, how many items does it usually include?

If not, isn't your life sloppier and wasteful, without it?

Keep getting this error on Windows XP SP2. Happens when connected to the Internet. Basically the internet connection terminates after a few minutes of receiving this error message and the sound card gets disabled. Also the user interface changes to the classic style but then comes back to normal again.

I thought my Windows was corrupted, so I done a fresh installation and the only software I installed was AVG Anti Virus, MSN Messenger and Adobe Acrobat Reader. But I still get that error message! I defo got no virus on my PC.

I just found out that the car is a '92 model, BUT, the owner thinks the engine may be a '94. I have a '96 Eclipse. I know with a good deal of work, that changing out motors could be a possibility. However, didn't the body and motors change in '95?? Should I try with the '94 motor, OR just try and find me a '95 and up motor for my car?? Thanks!

Jacques Chirac is about to retire. The US is bogged down in a hopeless attempt to influence the civil war in Iraq. Chirac was smart enough to see the folly of this invasion from the beginning, and kept his country clear of the train wreck. As he leaves office, wouldn't it be honorable to now say - Yes, monsieur, you were right?

I feel like I should be able to figure this out on my own. I have potty trained many kids before but my son, who is 3 yrs old, has been pee-pee potty trained since last summer...no problem! But the one time he pooped in the potty, he looked at it, backed up and has never done it again! I have tried everything....reading on potty, candy, incentives, big boy underwear, etc. He just runs and hides and I have only caught him twice in the process and ran him to the potty. He doesn't care that it's on his bottom...he doesn't seem to even notice sometimes that he's done it! He starts preschool in the fall and I have GOT to get him fully trained. Any new ideas, personal stories that worked for you? I would be most grateful for an answer that will solve this problem!!
:)Thanks!
