heavy downpour indicate feelings of isolation and helplessness. On the other hand, the heavy downpour could represent unconscious materials and emotions attempting to enter the dreamer's conscious mind.
Water in any form symbolizes emotions. Dreaming about being in a flood is an indication that you are currently experiencing powerful emotions that may be overwhelming. The flood in your dream could represent a very powerful, or even violent, emotionally cleansing experience. But don't worry, just like in an actual flood, waters reside and so do emotions. Water at times represents the flow of life and this dream may point to your feelings of being overwhelmed by it.

First off, you have to decide if your dream was based upon anything you saw or heard recently. Sometimes our brain 'dreams' of images that get stuck within us that we can't get rid of so that it can simply clean house, like clicking on the trash icon on your computer, and going through whatevers been dumped in there.

If the dream isn't related to that, and its more psychological in nature, here is my opinion:

Driving means traveling, and the fact that you and your 'bf' are together in the car means you are traveling together somewhere, towards some destination.

Now, what the 'bf' means in the dream could be up for grabs: it could be the bf you think you have, the bf you want to have, the bf that reminds you of someone else, the bf who is really the ghost of another bf, etc etc etc, its kinda hard to tell so I will leave that up to you.

Rain usually means obstacles or difficulty, especially when driving. Driving in rain means being more careful, more cautious, maybe even more anxious. It could be that you are going through a rough period with your bf, or a rough period in your life that your bf is a part of (since you are in the car together).

The window being open could mean that, instead of isolating both of you from the danger, you feel that he is letting it inside, not keeping it out. If the window was 'broken' on his side, it could be that you feel that the danger is coming from him but that he can't do anything about it, whether as if the window is fixed but he's keeping it down, then you feel as if he is letting the obstacles get inside.

The flood of water coming in I understand as the result of his leaving the window open. Since that open window invites vulnerability, the 'fear' of what would happen becomes dramatized in the dream by the 'flood' of water coming in. It's murky because the murkiness suggests that you don't know how you will feel after/if such an incident takes place. Will you still be traveling together, can you find your way back to each other, can you yourself find your way out?

Because of everything, it sounds like you could be feeling a lack of communication with some problem going on in your life, and that your 'bf' is not listening to you. Again, this could be your current bf or it could be a past 'bf' (or some past example that happened that is making you worried it will happen again) but the vulnerability coupled by the sudden flooding suggests that its weighing on you enough that you worry where it will lead. Fear of being overwhelmed can often lead us to dream extreme dreams, which becomes a metaphor for the feeling. Your 'bf' should be someone to whom you can confide such feelings of being vulnerable and overwhelmed. If that is something you can't do, perhaps that is what the dream is trying to point out.

Rain is usually a symbol of the life giving power to nurture crop, livestock, etc. However, anything in excess to include water can be a bad thing such as a plant being flooded to the point of suffication. Your inner self is trying to tell you that there has been a recent pattern of this 'overwhelming nurturing' and that either in the immediate past (a recent incident), or in the immediate future ( steps toward some major decision) have you feeling trapped and sufficated by something that should be life-giving and fresh.
If this is the case, try to be more communicative in your relationship.
Also, you might consider in this dream whether there was a certain feeling associated with the situation in the flooded car(were scared, anxious, amused, etc.), and whether you were the one driving or being driven.

it means that you think that you are the one controlling the relationship. He will do things without thinking about how it could affect the two of you. Like opening the window, he just did it on impulse and wasnt thinking about what might happen from letting the rain in. You feel that sometimes what he does has a BIG impact on you and it isn't always so pleasant. maybe you should talk to him about it.

I have to agree with boombaby. But, understand this, it could be a warning, are there any low lying bridges in your area? I would just steer clear of going for a ride in the rain for a while.

You may want to get a pregnancy test. Water has significance for an unborn fetus. Best of luck.
