We have a 2nd hdd (Maxtor 160gb) we use for backing up photo's, personal files etc. Yesterday, we had a problem with it locking up when we tried to open a file. Scandisk wouldn't work on it so we downloaded some recovery tools from the internet & they were reporting bad sector, error reading data etc though they could access some of the files.
We were just about to pay the $49 to upgrade the recovery package so it would actually save some of our files but my boyfriend opened the case to have a look inside first and decided to move the drive up so there was a vacant space between the two drives. I thought he was wasting his time because it had been put there by a professional, it had been working perfectly up until now, & if it had been heat damaged then data would probably be gone for good but we turned it on and everything is fine, all our files are there and scandisk reports no bad sectors!
So what now? The drive is under warranty but they will say there's nothing wrong with it!

This seems to be a problem when i go to interviews, basically i've been really shabily treated by my current employer - but the interviewers don't really see why i want to leave. Am also that by spreading myself out it might come back to my boss - in which case i'm screwed. Has anyone got any ideas on what i can do?

We are naming her "Encarnación", after my bf's (Spanish) mum, who died last year.

I'd like a second name which means "Luck", "Hope" or "Miracle" - in any other language other than English or Spanish. I'm having a very complicated high risk pregnancy and I'd like to give her a second name with a meaning like one of these... Because she'll be so special when she does arrive, I feel she deserves it!

Does anyone know of any names like this??

My partner asked me to live with him 3 years ago so I did, and now he tells me he loves me, I make him very happy, but that he needs more and wants me to leave!! His wife left him for another man and he still has feelings for her ( they were together 25 years), and wants someone like her (a professional person, private education, cambridge education, like my man) I tell him as long as we love each other and are happy what more is there? He says I'm different from his ex and so much better - so why does he want to go back to someone like that. His parents even say I make him happy and he looks so much happier. What more is there???

i want to buy a car under my sisters name well technicaly im not buyin it but she will let me drive it until im done with college,but the thing is she dusnt have a driving license so can she register the car showing proof of insurance under my name..or does it have to b under her name.

For a long time our government had double standards in its polacy. It followed the Bully mentality as Might is Right instead of Right is Might. This what we get when we elect politicians who look for their own interes & not the interes of the country. Okay. I'm currently slated to attend AIT as an 88M. That would be 7 weeks, which is perfect. But I have a feeling that my MOS is going to be changed. I've been told to have a second choice in mind, but I'm not sure about any other MOS's. I know I shouldn't choose an MOS based on AIT duration, but for my current circumstances, an MOS with a shorter AIT is what I have in mind. I wondering if y'all had any suggestions. About 6-8 weeks is good...10-13 the max.

when i look in the mirror i see a deformed grotesque ugly disfigurered face been like this all my life from school upto adult hood ive had people throw abuse at me in the street and people call me ugly i have had no confidence from being abused as a kid and my mum not believeing me and i have been callled ugly from many people i dont know why as i have done them know wrong the final straw was when i could take no more from life and tried to end it i really do believe that i am disfigureded to me it is what i see in the mirror have you any tips advice on how to make myself look just a tiny bit better or anythhing i live in a small town and people all know that i have tried to end my life due to my poor appearance i am like this 24/7 i dont think of anything else except plastic surgery to rectify my face and by that i mean reconsstuctivr surgery this is debiliating to me and it is true and so real people also find it easy to take advantage of me and hurt me please help me if you can
