Isaiah in prediction said the Messiah would be despised and rejected. If my Jewish people despised and rejected our Messiah then we abandoned our religion, and those that accept Messiah Jesus for themselves now follow the Jewish Messiah.
truth being told in this question-My Jewish people for the most part have rejected the Judaism of the Jewish scriptures and made a new religion-as a 'Jew' today you are permitted to be an athiest or anything else -except if you believe Jesus is the Messiah then they say you are not a Jew.
Isaiah said 700bce when the Messiah comes
He will be born a miracle and be God with us (emanuel)Isaiah 7:14
He will be the child born & the son given, almighty God, & the prince of peace." Isaiah 9:6(is peace-within and one day over the whole world in his return as promised =
Isaiah 52:13-53:12 to be exalted. first to be despised. to die to make atonement for our sins.
Messiah Jesus is my best Friend!
Did believers in Messiah steal their belief?

Christian means a follower of the Moshiach/Messiah the anointed one-in Greek the language of the world of that day cristos means the anointed one.
how i cam to know him is those prophecies and his words from heaven to John =Revelation 1:1 &
"I love you and knock at your heart door to come in to deliver from sin, and become your friend, if you ask me in to help you and forgive sin." Revelation 3:19&20
as a Jew I prayed-"Jesus I am sorry for my sins, come into my heart and help me, be my friend, amen.
true shalom/peace flooded my soul and the bible lit up to me-with Jesus the Jewish Messiah for all people-what an honor to know Him.
did we steal the Jewish religion if your Jewish or gentile and believe in the Messiah?

Neither Jew nor Gentile, bond nor free, male nor female, but all ONE in Christ Jesus.
We stole nothing, we were chosen by Him, the lamb that was slain before the foundation of the world. Romans chapters 11 and 12 discuss how Christians are grafted onto the Jewish tree of God's chosen people.
I know many Messianic Jews and NONE of them sound like you. Best go back to reading the scripture.

If the Jewish humans had understood the prophecies of Isaiah, they could have understood that Messiah got here first one million) to pay the rate for guy's sins (through death at the Cross, that is the curse of putting on a tree), this needed to be performed through a person, and through a spotless guy, typified within the Levitical sacrifices through the spotless lamb. THEN two) Messiah could rule and reign with superb righteousness. Since Israel rejected Christ because the Messiah, the Gentile interval is now in outcome. When Jesus Christ returns the moment time, all the ones prophecies will actually be fulfilled. You would examine the final few chapters of the Book of Revelation with the prophecies of Ezekiel, Zechariah, and Isaiah.

We did not steal your religion. However if it was not for the fact that Israel rejected the Messiah, we would not have had a chance for salvation. Many people have bought into replacement theology, that is that now that largely Israel rejected there messiah, that the Church is now the new Israel... That is belony! God clearly promised to bless Abraham and through his seed bless all the nations. He has done that now through the Messiah. All the nations have been blessed by a Jewish Messiah. I am a gentile and will always be a gentile. There is no reason for enmity between gentiles and Hebrews. We did not steal your belief, If some one converts to a religion would you then say that they stole it?? No you would welcome them in with love. In the same way A Jewish christian will welcome a gentile in with love, just as a gentile Christian should welcome a new Jewish beleiver with love. Shalom

But that is not all like that.
Jesus was murdered not because as some say "for our sins", which again is an illusion. He was murdered by religious of the day, money changers of the day and civil power to which He was a trouble.Jesus was teaching that man's whole duty is summed up in this one instruction:" Love the Lord your God with all your mind and soul and your neighbor as yourself"
This He taught that in place of 613 rules of living expounded by the Pharisees. That does not seem as stealing Jewish religion.

Gee no they did not. It is the same. Although so called Christians and Jew do something in common, they disregard the laws and principles set out in the bible, including dis-owing Gods holy name!!! They celebrate holidays from pagans, and from Babylon, They mix in worldly affairs.
When the nation of Israel put Jesus to death, they lost Gods favor as a nation. Which is why a new nation was chosen called the Israel of God. It is a spiritual nation, that will also have a physical part in Gods will.

Oh hello again, David. Are you still trying to convince us that you're Jewish?
Christians have taken Jewish symbolism and prophecy, added in a hefty dose of Greek practices, and created a hybrid which has little to do with either.
You guys didn't steal the Jewish religion; you just like to use it to try to justify yours. Please stop trying to pretend that Christianity has anything to do with Judaism.

Yeshua/Yahshua/Jesus is Jewish...why do people despise that?
Seriously, if he came today people would shun him cause they expect him to be the most beautiful being shining with glory. But what they don't accept is that because he took our sins from us he is marred just as Isaiah says.
And the Messiah is for everyone who accept him? I thought so...
