A friend of mine asked me this question. We're frm S'pore. As in most countries, suicide is considered to be a crime. So she heard that police here would put handcuffs on the corpse of a person whom committed suicide. Is this practiced in other countries and why? What's the rationale?

I know this is a funny question, but I am having a debate about this with a friend. We have all heard someone say "Oh no, I would break your legs." when offered a lap to sit on, maybe you have said it yourself. But...is it really possible? At work we have an annual Kris Kringle. It's a secret, random draw and I've drawn someone I personally find difficult and moody. This woman has been extremely rude to me for most of the year - often ignoring me and answering in monosyllables - if at all when I have needed information. To my knowledge - she doesn't treat anyone else the same way - although others have commented through the year - on her open bitchiness/indifference/rudeness towards me. I have never come across this problem before. It is supposed to be a nice present. Any ideas?
