Will it ever be cheaper or easier to do?

New law would require that all communication with government
(including proposals, new bills, speeding limits, etc) be in metric
measurements (perhaps with English standard in subtype).

Companies and individuals not communicating with the
government are free to continue to use the English Standard
system (or any other system).

Not cheap - but never cheaper. Ultimately reduce
communication costs for companies, reduce cost of
education since metric is easier to teach and less
error prone.

Is it time now?

The other day my 5 year said someone on television was a bully. I thought it was a good time to discuss it. He really hasn't had to deal with one yet, but I was trying to think of the long term concepts on how to deal. If I tell him to teacher instead of deal with it himself, what is he going to do when he is an adult. If I tell him to stand up to the bully, what is he going to think when he gets kicked out of school if it becomes a fight?
I have been reading so much lately about how little things from your childhood can affect you your whole life. That is why I am trying to think about this 40 years out.

I am only 5 ft 6 and 114 pounds and almost flat chested, small hips, and small butt.Hubby has mentioned that maybe i should work out more, consider breast implants and see a nutritionest.My doctor told me i am only 18 yrs old and that i will probably fill in on my own in next 2 yrs.My husband is 24 yrs old and i want him to look at me like he does those other girls he see's in video's with full bodys? am i too young for surgery?

I met a man almost two years ago. He's an extremely busy surgeon and has full custody of his child. It was lust at first sight but after a few months he told me he thought we should focus more on each other than sex all the time, I agreed but it never worked because the attraction was so strong. As time went on & he got busier, things didn't deepen emotionally, things grew father apart, not because of me either. Long story short, I want a real relationship and he says "he can't give me what I want" is that a male line or something? BUT he can never let me go. I've asked him to define what I am to him and he won't but says we're more than friends. We have talked for the last year and have gone on several dates but HAVE NOT slept together-him proving to me he isn't just after sex w/me. If he doesn't hear from me he always texts me to make sure I'm still there. He admits to dating others, as I do. Says he's to busy but wishes he could see me. I'm just confused, does he want me or not?

I got caught shoplifting from a retail store by an undercover detective. I was put on citizen's arrest and had to wait there handcuffed until the police showed up. I have a clean reocrd so they gave me a citation and banned me from goin to that store for a year. I have a court date next month. The thing i stole was under $ 100.00, I'm scared and dont know what to expect. What will happen to me as far as trying to get a job, this is a misdemeanor what are the chances of me finding a good job. Will i go to jail?for how long. I dont have a job to pay for this can I do community service instead? What will happen if I'm on probation? HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANYONE.......Can anyone who has got caught in a similar case like mine help i'd really appreciate it.

Does anybody know how to make a picture black and white(I know how to do that) but then make only like one part of the picture color. We've been married three years, and have never used birth controll. We're in the process of adopting, and we hit a snag with our worker. My husband was discussing the situation with his mom, and she said we should just go do fertility treatments. I'm not interested in artifically creating a child when there are plenty of kids out there who need parents! We're also not interested in pointing fingers if one of us turns out to be infertal.

I see the was she reacts to my brother in law's step son vs the child they believe is his bio child. It's total night and day, and my main fear is that my adopted kids will sense the difference between the way they are treated vs the way the bio (or alleged bio) grandchildren are treated.

My best friend asked her boyfriend to help pay for rent. He's been basically living with her ever since she got her apartment.(About 3-4 months). He doesn't go anywhere else but back to his mother's house to get more clothes. He eats,sleeps and showers at her apartment.

My husband and I have been together for 5 years and married for 2. I am 23 and he is 25. He is the best thing that ever happened to me, and everyday I think about how I am so happy to call him my husband. We are now trying to conceive our first baby and are so happy to be adding to our family.

The problem is people constantly feel the need to tell me I am stupid for marrying so young and even stupider to have a child at 23/24 years old. They think because I am young I will be bad mom, end up divorced or on welfare. Apparently 23 is like being 16 now a days.

Its so uncalled for because we own a home, have great careers and have college educations and we have enough money to have several children. Plus we are very happy together!

I hear a lot that I am naive and unmotivated for wanted to be a wife and mother before I turn 30. People are anti-marriage and children unless you are 30+!

How can I grow a solid backbone and stop being so sensitive when I am 100% happy with my life?

After all, we don't invite them in when we get rid of it...so why should we have them around while we put it in? Also - if I were to have a piece of cake in my hand - people would most likely say it looked delicious. Take that same piece of cake, eat it, and finally poop it out and hold it in your hand and people will say GROSS. Why the double standard?
