When I sing a long note, my pitch slightly wavers throughout the note. It is like a vibrato, except that it is a random pitch variation, not even or periodic, and not as much pitch variation as a vibrato. The overtones are especially susceptable to this, and the brighter I make a note, the more obvious is the effect. Also, it is not controllable by me. It seems to be worse for low notes. I could use specific advice as to how to train to end this problem, as right now it makes me sound as though I am off pitch. I would like a steady, pure sound.

Someone pointed out that:
"So Abraham knew that either God would raise Isaac from the dead, or not require the sacrifice, because God will be true to His promise."

That's an interesting take, and I wish to expand on that. If Abraham *knew* that God would either raise Isaac or not require the sacrifice, then is Abraham's sacrifice worthy? Is it really a sacrifice if you strongly suspect that God would take care of the situation?

Some have questioned if Jesus Christ truly sacrificed himself since he knew that his father would take care of matters. Did he sacrifice himself if he knew that he would be safe, after all? Is it a greater sacrifice if he had no idea what God had in mind?

As a variant of that question, would you sacrifice your child if your god told you to, thinking he'd be lost forever?

I've heard that as long as your degree is in the area you plan to teach in (especially if it is an "elective" type class, such as theatre/drama), private schools will hire you to teach there without licensure. Is this true?

Umm, so I just wanted to know why so many people are against the torture of terrorists? I'm not talking about people that aren't proven guilty. I am talking about the folks that go around cheering 'praise osama!' and laugh when they kill millions of people- the people that we KNOW are in on the murders, and in support, even assistance, to tortureing millions of people each day! Why are you against it? WHY?

Poly cystic ovarian disease - I have searched lots of websites for endless hours, and spoken to doctors (of course) but no one seems to have any really good suggestions to deal with the pain. Please note, I am talking about PCOD, not PCOS (PCOD is more severe).

The child in question is gifted beyond real comprehension. He is savant like in almost everything and he is extremely brilliant, but when people act like they doubt him, he doubts himself. How can I make him doubt himself less? He is profoundly gifted with a 175+ IQ and a certified genius, but he still has self doubt. How do I take away his doubt? He comes off as extremely confident and bragging when he is trying to feel like he knows, but he knows that he doesn't know and it scares him. What do I do?

My betta fish hasn't eaten for three days, and has only been floating at the top doinh nothing. In fact, right before I went to school today, he was lying down like he was dead and his mouth was wide open, but when I got back, he was up at the top floating again. Whenever I put my hand on the bowl, he either gives a little twitch, or does nothing. I've had this fish for about 1 year and a half, and he lives in a 1 gallon bowl. He just started doing this three days ago, and he is usually extremely active. Now, he just ignores the food like it isn't there, and he loves to eat. So, how should I take care of my fish so he doesn't "suffer" anymore? I don't like flushing or freezing fish so that's out of the question. This may sound a little wird, but I bury my fish in the ground when they die so that my ground will become better for the plants. I've looked up fish euthanasia websites but none of those methods sound appealing.

Starting the war in Iraq? Going on vacation before 9-11, after being given an intelligence report forecasting just such an attack? Playing golf while Hurricane Katrina was closing in on New Orleans? Giving tax breaks to billionaires financed by a trillion dollar debt to Communist China? Horrible appointments like the right wing ideolog fed chairman or christian fundamentalists on the Supreme Court? Gutting the Bill of Rights with his support for torture, holding people indefinitely without bail or trial or even probable cause? So many choices! Which do you chose as the worst mistake...so far. Or you may have other choices. Please, share your opinion, thanks!
