I feel for you. I just started taking Lamictal too. It is the best treatment out there to prevent extreme mood swings and is also an epilepsy drug.

The thing you have to watch out for is a severe rash anywhere on your body that occurs within the first month of taking it. If that happens, call your dr right away.

where in the heck did you hear its not FDA approved?
When was lamotrigine approved for marketing in the USA and for what indications may it be promoted?

Lamotrigine received final approval for marketing in the USA on 27 December 1994 and was labeled for use as an anticonvulsant. In 2003 it was approved by the FDA for use as a treatment for people with bipolar disorder.

I take Lamictal too, for epilepsy. Yeah what she said abour the rash. When you start taking it you take it in small doses and tell your dr. right away if you see a rash.

You scared me when I saw this question at first BTW
