ology is " the stufy of" So technologist study and research and innvoate technological things. Technicians do more of the application of it.

big time difference.....I work with both.... a technologist DESIGNS and CREATES process flows and usually has an engineering degree. A Technician is the person who actually performs the work to be done.....think of it like a worker bee (technician) and the queen bee (technologists).

I think that a Technologist invents things, and a Technician fixes things. I could be wrong though...

A technologist has a t least a bachelors degree, technician has rudimentary training.
