I also have a problem. My b/f's older sister,(by a year so 18) cant stand him and as a way to get him mad or hurt him she hurts me. she will make fun of me and even go as far as to lie about things he does..as him cheating on me and saying he doesnt love me and onlt wants to hurt me and laughs afterwards when we get in an arguement..what can i do?

Can you fall in love at 17? Sure - happens all the time. Will it be lasting, committed love? Only time will tell, as you both mature and change, so will your relationship.
As far as his Sis goes -- how about ignoring what she says? If her track record shows that she (1) doesn't have your best interests at heart and (2) tells you things that aren't true.
Here's the thing - if he's cheating, you will find out in time, and deal with it, but the constant drama over things Sis says isn't fun, isn't productive. She's messing with you because you always take the bait. Stop being so gullible, and she'll have to find something else to amuse herself. Good luck!

Yes, you can fall in love at 17. I married my high school boyfriend and we've been together for over 30 yrs. It hasn't been perfect but what marriage is?
However, I AM concerned about your bf's sister and the fact that he doesn't stand up to her. He should learn to be stronger and tell her that he won't tolerate such behaviour. Doesn't he have parents? They should be told how awful she is. I do agree with some of the answers about ignoring her though. She gets her kicks by upsetting you so don't let her.

First of all if you know she is a liar don't listen to what she says. Why are you getting into fights over what she says. Yes I think its possible to fall in love at your age. Just ignore her rude remarks and be nice to her. Hopefully she will get tired of playing her games or better yet maybe she will mature and see the error in her ways. No. Your hormones are raging. The best you can hope for is to fall in LUST at your age. Love is something you probably don't even understand yet. But there's nothing wrong with lust, as long as you dont take it too personally.
Oh, and I didnt even read the crap about his sister. That's how much I think of your ability to choose important things to worry about.

listen carefully...of course u can fall in love.no doubt about that.love sometimes may make us feel overwhelm which sometimes makes our lifes better(getting good results in study too).in fact,it may also cause you to drop in your studies if things doesnt go well..it depends on what kind of person you are and how you handle things calmly.ok,enough about this.bout that girl.ok,after telling us how u feel,i bet you are rather sensitive and passionate girl.DONT response after she do anything which makes you unhappy,just smile,say "maybe",and then walk away and act normal(though you are already hurt).make her feel stupid.when this sort of reaction makes her feel bored,and she will stop.and you will be the winner.it takes a few times to make her give up disturbing.bout 5 times may do the job...dont spend time brooding over this.you know what i think?this sort of people just cant stand around,they love to sabotage.i've met tons of this sort of people.but NVR get angry or look sad,it makes them feel better,and they will keep on.k?Cmon,just try it out...it works for me.

If he loved you, he'd put his sister in her place! You have a great deal of growing up to do and what you feel now is fleeting "puppy love" or crushing...You may not realize it now, but you simply aren't old enough or mature enough to know what love is. If you were, his sister would not be an issue and the crap she says wouldn't bother you...
