I know I'll get flamed for this, but how come the typical American is so naive? I'm just going by who I've met and what I see on the American News shows that we get here in Australia in the early mornings.

My girlfriend and I have been together for two years and a great two years, last month we got into a heated fight and she said she needed space and I was stupid and didn't respect that and that pushd her away more but about a two weeks ago we met up for first time and it was great laughed talked cried and it led to other things then a week ago same thing happened and she saying that she still confused etc, so last friday my idiot friend decided to talk to her and tell her things that i shared with him about me and her and she just calls me up saying that it's over completely but she still loves me and really cares about me and all but if it was meant to be then it will happen just not now? we met up following day and she said its really hard for her to do and she was angry and upset but stil sticking to it being over between us...whats everyones opinion what should i do she's the love of my life i'm lost without her and she knows this I want her back in my life, is there any hope?????

My roommate sleeps with about twelve girls a week. He degrades girls behind their backs and has more one night stands than our entire dorm floor combined, which is about sixty people give or take.
He cries over this one girl who he said he will, not wants to, will marry, even if he has to force it into her. She backed out and now he is moving onto another girl and is saying the same thing. He didn't do any forcing, which I am somewhat grateful for, but he is slowly becoming less rational and more...for a lack of better words, evil.
He is a good kid and I'd hate to see him hurt himself or anyone around him, but he says he MUST get married by 23 and the purpose of life is to make money. I'm not saying this is wrong or anything, but he is kind of hurting his now would-be-maybe bride-to-be.
I met this girl and she's actually very sweet, but should I interfere or do nothing?
Any reply would be nice, no matter how degrading or objective they may be, I really just want some guidance.

I've noticed that in a lot of questions related to faith, a lot of people either blatantly insult the person asking the question or take the opportunity to shamelessly plug their beliefs. What ever happened to respect for your fellow man? Must we continue to insult people and lie or can we concentrate on questions with no ulterior motives?

My fiance and I have been together for two years and engaged for the past year. Things were going great until he brought up his ex. And ever since then we always end up in an argument about is ex. He e-mails his ex constintaly and he always tells me when she e-mails him back and what she had to say. Then he will go off about how much he hates her and how badly she treated him when they were together. I feel like I am competing with his ex for his all (mind, body, heart & soul). Am I just stupid to ignore this? Is he still hung up on this women? What should I do? He tells me that he loves me with all his heart and soul and that I am his angel. But when he starts talking about his ex I start to wonder. I love this man with all my heart and soul. But right now I am so lost and confused. Can someone please give me some advice?

I heard this was a tough course but I took it anyway and even hired a tutor to help me with the math, but I am just not getting it. I do fine when the tutor is there but when I am at home, I am lost.

The text book is at best difficult to read, but I have read everything and go to all of the classes. I am a business major and the course is Business Econ 300. It is a core course that I need for graduation, if I drop it I will lose half the tuition, if I don't I could fail the course.

I feel that I can study the book and still work with the tutor after I drop the class...but should I is the question.

Lets say your child when to a school that allowed paddling, you knew the principal and overall liked them. Would you allow them to paddle your child? My sons go to a school that allows it, but I'm not sure if I should let them. We do spank are children sometimes and to tell you the truth I do not think they will ever need to. However I would rather them get the paddle than be supended if they ever got in trouble. What do you think? Does anyone allow their childs school to use corporal punishment?

Something every other little kid is NOT going to be.
She is 15 months and walking, she has blonde hair and blue eyes.
I can buy items to work with but I would like to find something at home.
We are having a costume party this year and I want to dress her up cute, maybe a cute joke that all of the adults would get...
Oh and her favorite cartoon is SpongeBob, but I dont want to go buy a costume from a store.
Any ideas at all would be awesome.

j/w b/c i've heard anywhere from 5'9''-5'9.5'', or 5'10''. also i'm 15 years and 10 months old and stand at 5'7'' on a good day and 5'6.5'' on a bad day and i was wondering if i was around average height for my age and if i can hit 5'8'', p.s. my mom is 5'8''-5'8.5'' barefoot, and my dad is 6'0'', thanks!!

how do i go on in life trying to be positive when everyday of my entire life, I hear my dad make a negative comment about me, not only that but when i try to go to school or better my situation, i get put down with comments saying you dont need that, you need to work the job your at making 8 dollars an hour, you cant afford to go to school, so i never get any positive things said to me, even after i tell him to stop that, a week goes by and hes back to saying all the negative stuff again, i am 27 and still live at home and i feel like such a loser because thats all i was told my whole life....what to do?
