In the great state of California, in particular Los Angeles County, does labor law state that time off for any associate must be accepted; with their own job security to take the day off on a day for a funeral, or wedding?

I had a plecostemus in my freshwater fishtank for years, and it recently died. I bought another, so I wouldn't accumulate too much algae, but it promptly died too. Then a third one lived for only a week in my tank. There's enough algae and decay in the tank to keep them nourished, and my chemical, PH, and heavy metal levels are all on target. What tank condition would kill off plecos so consistently, while all my other fish are alive and healthy, and the tank's bio level is well adjusted? Any thoughts?

If you piss a religious person off by not believing in their God and they say, "I'll pray for you!" do they really pray for you (and each and every person they said it to) or is that just a tactic to be condescending?

I opt for the latter.

Seriously, this guy was over with the crowd ever since starting up his Peep gimmick. He was goofy, but in an awesome way, and can wrestle pretty well. And just AWESOME on the mic. Let's face it. Vince is obsessed with built wrestlers and would rather have Gorilla Man (aka Cena) as the Champion. He's boring and can hardly wrestle.

This is a serious question. My bf is, let's say, larger than average, and a couple of times the condom has slipped off because it won't go on properly because it is too small. What can we do? We live in Ontario.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." - 4th amendment to the constitution

President Bush is determined to spy on us without a court order. Let's get something straight; neither I nor any other liberal I know of has any serious objection to government eavesdropping in the legitimate pursuit of criminal activity, including potential terror attacks.

Here's the problem. Bush first said that warrants were obtained for all wiretapping; that was false. Now he says that we're at war and he doesn't need a warrant. But why won't he explain his reasons to an appropriate court and get a warrant? How are we to know that he's not spying simply because he has a "gut feeling"? Or for political reasons or even for personal enrichment? Should I trust him? Should anybody? The constitution says that we don't have to; he must satisfy a court that there is probable cause to believe that the person being wire-tapped might be doing something wrong.

I don't trust the government that much - regardless of who the President is - that's why the constitution says what it says.

If a President has that kind of authority over us then the nation the founders created is dead and we are merely feudal vassals. It makes little difference to the serf whether he's enslaved by a domestic tyrant or a foreign one, the revolt will be the same.

Last month was our first month trying, and i think the mistake we may have made was that we only had sex the days leading up to and on the day of ovulation and maybe 1 day after that. Now I am not sure if the ovulation calander was accurate cause i heard ovulation times can vary each month. This time around, we had sex 10 out of the 23 in between periods, and we spaced it out up to and including today! I am due for my period on the 13th of october, any thoughts on if it will be successful this time around??

We will no longer need her services after Christmas and would like to show our appreciation. She is well off and does not "need" anything. She is a Christian and pretty straight laced, so I want something meaningful and appropriate.

Hi Everyone.

I'm a 20 year old 6'4 female (yes, extreamly tall) and weigh about 171lbs right now.
I run 60-90 mins a day(never miss a day, even when I was sick with the flu) and am always doing things during the day to get in that little extra bit of exercise (Such as parking far away from the store, taking the stairs instead of the elevator)

Anyhow, could my exercise be the reason I haven't had a menstral period in 3 months? I KNOW I'm not Pregnant (Haven't had sex in quite some time)
I feel healthy, happy, eating 1500 calories a day... Just I haven't had my period!
What could cause this? Should I be extreamly worried?

Thanking you in advance,

Melissa
