If a person gets a certain strain of a cold, once cured, can they get the same exact strain of that cold again?

Sometimes your body will build immunity that next time you wont even feel the symptons and basically immune, or you may have to take antibiotics, but every year the cold strand changes and mutates and thats why they have to come out with a new flu vaccination all the time, so you may become immune to that one but then it changes and you get a new one. Its very possible to get it twice, it really depends on your body and immunity, some people will get really sick from cold but another person with that same strain might just be sick for a day or so...talk to your doctor if you have been getting it too often.

You can not get the same cold twice. You develop immunity to that particular cold, but there are many thousands of different strains of the cold you could never even nearly get all of them.!

Yes, because your body may not have built up enough immunity to the strain the first time.

no you can only get a virus once...ask you doctor he/she will tell you the same thing, you can get a cold similar to the one you had but it will always be a lil diffrent cause its a diffrent infection or bacteria in your body....hope this helps...k

It prolly never went away...... the symptoms just stopped then something kicked them back in
