Throughout history, Christian Martyrs are professed christians who have suffered and/or died for their faith. Around 70A.D. many Christians, their spouses and children were cruelly tortured and killed if they did not renounce their faith. When Islam tok over the middle east, Spain and France, many Christians were killed if they did not bow down, etc. There is no single extensive list of martyrs on Earth, and Orthodox, Roman Catholic and Protestants, each have their own customized list.

The name martyr comes from the Greek word
Martiro= talk about.
Since the Christianity was forbidden and the first Christians, was not allow to speak about their religion, they get killed because of that. So all of them get the name because of what they belevie and speak about.

All martyrs are men that gave their lives for the cause of their church...there have been many. At some parks in China, you must pay an admission fee, and the sign (written in English) details the prices for adults, children etc...but one thing that makes me laugh when I see this sign is that martyrs are admitted free....I didn't think ghosts ever had to pay....it is an error in translation...what they mean is that those people who have suffered for their country and are disabled are admitted free.

This is suffering and dying for the sisns of others.

Jesus suffered so.

He was not an example for others to suffer for the sins of others, this is a fallacy and a horrible mistake or joke.

Nothing for nothing, (nada por nada), you get what you deserve in due time whether good or evil. A good fate or bad fate depends upon your actions and time will prove out the truth of that.

You pay or you earn for sure. Pay for performance, that is pay from God in love and good fortune in time, this life or the next as well.

Vaya con dios, go with God.

Peter

People who died for their beliefs, for Jesus Christ.

An example of martyrs, the first Christians who died in the Roman circus because they didn't want to pray to Roman gods.

I guess you could explain it as, people who die as an example of their beliefs, or because of their beliefs. Many believe Jesus was a martyr, for example.
