its about heritage not hate, some people are proud of the fact that their ancestors fought for the pricipals they believed in and not just those that are the most talked about and make the confederate flag offensive to some undereducated people

Not at all. The flag of the confederacy is just a piece of cloth. Additionally, what most people think of as the Rebel flag is really the battle flag; the flag of the confederacy is completely different. Look it up on Wikipedia, and that will explain the differences.

But, in reply to your question, in a succinct fashion, No, it does not offend me.

No, it is called freedom of expression. The North and South had their war a long time ago, they still show all of the flags of the North and United States, why should people complain about the Rebel flag? It is still a part of the history of the United States.

I know I'm going to make Alot of people cringe right now, but I don't.

And really it's all a matter of interpretation.

For example, some people will see It as a symbol of hate, racism ect..

However, I personally see it as a sign of heritage and not of hate.

People have no sane reason to be explictly offended by the bars and stars...

However, in most public situations, you can be mildly offended..for what ever reason..I'm not going into it...

Please note the diffrence in the words "mild" and "explicitly" and the presence of the word "offended"...

Thank you...

That depends on just HOW it's displayed, if someone is using it as a symbol for states rights, then, no, I'm not offended, BUT if it's being used as a symbol for hatred, bigotry and violence, then you bet I'm offended, as should every open minded America.

it all depends how thier representing it.If it is represented in pure hate then yes of course who wouldnt but if it is represented in a state of culture then no.People believe what they believe and as long as they do it respectfully then fine other wise if someone is being out right disrespectful then your liable to get your as* kicked.

Not at all. Most folks down here in Mississippi (blacks, whites, hispanics) could care less... it's only a vocal minority that get pissy one way or the other.
