First time visitor to NYC and will be using the subways for transportation. What is the best way to understanding the subway systems if you have NEVER used them?

I've had my license for only a couple of months, but I've been driving every day in San Diego, not really in that much traffic though.

Im a college student but i never got my license until now.

How long should you have been driving before to try to make a trip thats longer than 8 hrs? I'd be taking the 5 north.

For my birthday I decided to drive to LA and meet my boyfriend who lives in San Diego. So we're getting a hotel, but I don't know which ones are good or not. He wants one on the West side of LA. It's just going to be for a night or two, and we'd like a nicer one with good service. Are there any recommendations with general prices?

I'm looking at moving when I get out of college. I'm trying to decide between Houston and L.A.

I'm a soon to be college grad with a good degree. I'm single and love the freedom that gives. I enjoy hanging out with friends late into the morning, but I also like quiet evenings sometimes so that I can relax.

I enjoy going to cultural events. I'm also fairly easy going. I dress in polo shirts, cargo shorts, and flip flops all year long.

Where should I go? Advice? Thanks.

My birthday is on December 3rd. My girlfriends suggested a few things we could do. We are planning on just spending the whole day somewhere...doing whatever i wanna do...but i don't know what that is. I live in Florida, so we were thinking maybe..Orlando or Tampa. I have to do a delivery on mission st and 1st. the map shows an exit for fremont st. I was wondering if the exit for fremont is closed for construction or if its open, because last time I was there it took me 1hr to get in and out of there. By the way Im driving a 53 foot truck.

I am looking for a hotel that has in-room hot tubs, not just a jacuzzi, but a legitimate hot tub. Preferably in Maine, New Hampshire, or Massachusetts. I only know of one, Adventure Suites, any others?

How safe is the area around Alameda St. (Union Station)? My family and I walked around there at 10:30 at night into china town and it felt very unsafe (even though there was 4 of us). I'm curious if it has a reputation for crime? We made it ok, but it was very creepy.

A couple of friends and I are taking a trip to Manhattan on Saturday. We have a couple of places in mind that we would definitely like to see.

First of all, Canal Street - we want COACH bags and gucci, and all sorts of stuff like that!! Where on Canal street is the best place for this stuff? Also, what train would we take to get there?

Secondly, we would like to visit The Village. We want to go to head shops and naughty stores! = ) Where would be the best place in the Village for this kind of thing? What trains would we take to get there?

Third, we'd like to go to the Museum of Natural History, same as before, what trains would we take to get there?

Also, my parents are telling me to go to China town, lots of fun and good shopping, where is China town located??

Any suggestions for any other places to visit (of course we are seeing the Christmas tree too while we're there) would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much for your help!

Me and a few of my closest friends are taking a road trip coming up soon. We live in Kansas City and are going to St. Louis just for fun. Are there any cool places from here to St. Louis that we should stop and see?! we are probably going to be taking I-70 all the way in but we can deal with getting off the main road to see something awesome. Also is there anything in St. Louis we should see. We plan to see the city museum but I'm sure there are more things to see.
