I absolutely love downtown San Diego and the area by the harbor. I also love the beaches at Ocean Beach, Oceanside and Carlsbad. As for beauty, I think that the area between Ramona and Julian, where there is a lot of countryside before one gets to Santa Ysabel & Dudley's Bakery is very pretty. Lots of livestock in the rolling hills there.

If you are asking about location I would have to say the coastline...all the way from Imperial Beach up to Carlsbad is wonderful. I also love Balboa Park, right in the center of town. Wonderful museums, hiking trails and, of course the Zoo.

My favorite part is watching the sunset. Any of the beaches are great for this...but the La Jolla area is my favorite with the light bouncing off the cliffs.
