According to the WMATA website, roughly 32 minutes, and it will cost you $2.90 ($1.45 if you're senior or disabled). Take the Red Line in the direction of Shady Grove (or Grovesnor, as every other train turns around during rush hour) and transfer to the Orange Line going towards Vienna at Metro Center. When you get on the Red Line train, try to be in the middle of the train, as you will need to go down a level to catch the Orange Line, and the escalators for that are in the middle of the platform. The doors will open on the right, so try to be near the right side of the train.

I should warn you that Metro Center is insanely busy during rush hours, so you want to build in time to fight the crowds, not to mention the possible delay. The "outboound" Orange Line also gets packed in the afternoons, what with everyone heading home. The doors at West Falls Church open on the left.

32 minutes is the ideal time, but it can vary by quite a bit depending on a number of things. There are delays in the system at least one day a month that slow things down considerably, but you also have a connection to make at metro center. Depending on how quickly you move to the lower level, this can add up to five minutes to your trip.

If you are planning to catch something (like the bus to the airport) I would give myself an extra 10 or 15 minutes just in case.
