I'm hosting an exchange student from France and I was wondering if there is anything that can help her "cope" with America, like how to handle to food situation, culture shock those types of things. I also am open to ideas about things for her to experiance about America while she's here. Thanks

I am going to the Giants game on 9/8 at 1pm and does anyone know how long the game it's going to last? I am planning a dinner after and I want to make sure we have enough time for the game, check out the dugout store, head back to hotel in SF downtown and get ready for a nice dinner.

I don't want a dive - but I want a "smoking rooms" hotel - it's impossible to tell from the map -

for instance, in the city in which I live, I would refer people to stay north of downtown, or in the suburbs to the north of the city, as opposed to the south of downtown - I don't want to get robbed or killed -

but I also don't want to stay in a 5* hotel that costs $300/night

but I also will probably be staying in room number 420 and don't want any anally retentives or any "family heavy" presence - i.e. hotels directly by Worlds of Fun, Chiefs stadium 4ex:

I am going there (visiting from L.A.) at the end of this week (8/29/07). I know it will be cooler there and I know about "layering" my clothing ... but would it be ridiculous to wear my boots (like Uggs) out at nightime? Would that just look silly? I know I will be cold at night when I am there, but it IS still August. What do you think?

me and my sister and a couple friends are going to las vegas labor day weekend. the friends are from lousiana and we are from houston. our flight arrives in las vegas at 11:30 am and their flight arrives at 10:00 pm. they booked the room at the bellagio. can we go to the hotel and ask them to hold our luggage for us while we tour the strip all day till our friends get there to check in? or do we have to carry out luggage with us all day?

As soon as I walked into the MGM Grand hotel/casino in Las Vegas, I was overcome with a lovely scent. It was especially strong in the lobby. Does anyone know what scent they use, and if it's available to purchase anywhere? I'd love to be able to smell it at home.

Going to Mirage hotel and casino in November, (mainly going to run the marathon, but my boyfriend wants to have a little flutter) trouble is I am not really a dressing up type of person.(tend to live in jeans and t-shirts) When I go out I would wear a nice shirt and cords or some thing.(never worn heals in my life) I have a limited budget and we are going for 10 nights.
