me and my sister and a couple friends are going to las vegas labor day weekend. the friends are from lousiana and we are from houston. our flight arrives in las vegas at 11:30 am and their flight arrives at 10:00 pm. they booked the room at the bellagio. can we go to the hotel and ask them to hold our luggage for us while we tour the strip all day till our friends get there to check in? or do we have to carry out luggage with us all day?

they will hold your luggage at the bell captains desk........just check your luggage with them, they will give you ticket......just that simple.

they don't know if you are coming or leaving vegas.....so your luggage can remain there all day

edit: all of the major hotels will deliver your luggage to your room.

Holding Luggage

As long as you have a reservation at the Bellagio they will hold your luggage at the Bell Captain's Desk. They will confirm your reservation and then hold your luggage. I'm not sure but since the Bellagio is an upper class hotel they may even deliver your luggage to your room(s).

As it has been stated ...don't forget to tip...

Have fun!

Absolutely, I switch to 3 hotels during my vacation to Vegas a few weeks ago. When switching I just went to the Bell Services Desk or counter, explained to them i would be checking in that evening and the checked my baggage. They will give you a claim ticket. Once I did check in I simply called down to the bell desk with my room info and the luggage was delivered. You should have no problems.

Virtually any hotel will check your luggage for a few hours. Be sure to tip the bellmen.

Now that I said this, things might have changed since September 11, 2001 but I don't think so.

First question to ask yourself: are you booked at the same hotel? Next, if not, are you booked in their group? If your are not booked at the same hotel, they will not hold your luggage. If you are booked in the group, they will hold the luggage at the bell hop. If you're booked at another hotel, it's best to check in there and if your room(s) are not available they will hold your luggage until it is. If you have rented a car and can hide the luggage in the trunk, you can opt to do that too. Good luck.

Hi there,

I just called the Bellagio Bell Desk & they said it's no problem checking your luggage with them, even if the room is under someone else's name...

As a local, I would highly recommend tipping the bell man...=)

Good luck & have fun here in Vegas...

your friends will have to inform the hotel about your intention to leave your luggage.
however, they may refuse to do so, or ignore the note.why dont you drop your lugage where you are going to stay?
still make an attempt if you have to, and see.
you cant go around with your luggage .
