My husband and I (and 2 sons - 15 and 17 years old) are staying at a cabin in the Ozarks for a week. Branson is only about a 2 hour drive from there, so we want to go and spend an afternoon there.

Where is a good place to go eat and be in the middle of the action?

Where are a couple of good places to go?

I live in Florida and people from New York have a chip on their shoulder. Then to defend their horrible behavior they shout they're from New York. It's awful

I moved here from DC 2 years ago... Nightlife sucks. Half the people are unsophisticated church going conservatives who think "culture" is a broncos game.

Where are all the singles?? There are almost no nightclubs, nice urban neighborhoods etc.

*Yawn*

Anyone know anything fun to do in denver? I am not a huge outdoorsey person.

I've been to Washington DC a couple of times and seen all the major monuments and museums. This week I am going there on a business trip and will have one free dayto look around. Can somebody recommend me some activities other than the above mentioned ones? It does not even have to be very educational or anything, just something interesting to see or do. Thanks!

My fiance and I were born in Los Angeles and have lived here all our lives. I've recently been considering moving to Vegas because the cost of living here (esp. home prices) are ridiculous.
So for those of you who live there...how is it? How is the job market? Has anyone moved from LA to Vegas?

I'm sick of living in Michigan. It has no good jobs that are hiring and it's not even beautiful. I want to move to a warmer state, that has a lot of offering jobs and is just beautiful.

What state do you think offers these things??

I'm going to Mardi Gras 08 for my 25th birthday. It's my 2nd time to NOLA for Mardi Gras (last time was 2004) and I was wondering what kind of stuff I can do in the area besides the usual French Quarter, Uptown, Garden District, ect.. type sightseeing. Is it worth it that time of year to go on a tour of the Bayou? Just wondering what are some cool things I can do besides all the parades, drinking, eating, ect.. What other cool or lesser known attractions do you enjoy there? I'm just hoping to do more on this trip and to actually remember more of it too.

We are scheduled to tour one of the Marriott resorts in Florida this summer. We have never done this before. I am wondering what to expect during the presentation we are obligated to attend; and also if there are any surprises we should expect when we get down there.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Does anyone have any advise on relocating to vegas, jobs, places to live, how to start going about this? This will all take place in about a year to year and a half. Any type of advise will be appreciated.

This is the last year of Coney Island the way it should be. Shot the Freak and all. Yes they are keeping the Cyclone and the Wonder Wheel but everything else is going. some places r already gone.
Yes it is a little seedy but that made it alittle more adventful.
