In mid-August, my family will be going to Vermont, in the Burlington area. We are only going to be there for a couple days because we are hitting some other areas up there too, but I was wondering if anyone had some ideas for some fun places to go. A friend and I are staying at the MGM later this month. i have read that it is at one end of the strip (south) so in order to make our way we will be walking a decent amount? So I am curious what would be the best way to get around? Monorail? Walking? Cab?

Also, should I carry a back-pack since going back and forth from the room is just to much time?

Any advice would be great.

I live in canada but love the US. I'd love to buy a small home to go just rest sometimes.
So I wonder what is the best small town. Let's say: -3000 people, not an expensive gated community, a normal middle class small town, with nice people, not a big florida tourist town, no crime, maybe with a couple nice restaurants and antique store. Just a very small town where everybody knows everybody and where it's nice to live.
My girlfriend would like to feel like she is in the same town as gilmore girls. hehe.

Not too much north. Maybe mid US going south. Anyone has a nice place to submit?
