Hi, my friend lives in Gilmer, Texas and I can't get ahold of her. I have called and there is no service. I have E-mailed and no response. I was wondering, is the weather bad where she is? I know about flooding, I'm not familier with her location.

Search "Gilmer Texas weather." I just did and it shows no indication of flooding. Gilmer is near the Texas-Louisiana border in the upper eastern part of the state about 140 miles east southeast of Dallas.

Gilmer is nowhere close to Houston. It is a small country town outside of Tyler. Might try posting on Dallas Travel website.

East Texas has been hit with the same rain that most of Texas has been deluged with. Perhaps your friend is just unavailable. The Marble Falls area has been the hardest hit. It has rained daily in Houston over the past 3 weeks.
