I'm going to New Orleans, LA and Long Beach, Miss. and need places to go shopping. I'm into kind of alternative clothing and what not and I know New Orleans has some cool shops but where are they and what are they called?
-Thanks

I heard that the LA zoo is depressing and not well kept. I know that there are great places in San Diego, but I'm hoping for something closer to LA. Wishful thinking?

I'm visiting LA for the first time for my birthday trip. My Dad, being the cheap person he is (always looking for a deal), booked a hotel in Inglewood, CA. Is this a bad neighborhood like Compton? I have never been to LA so I do not know the areas to "stay away from".

A semi-homless fellow that I met that hung around Sunrise Park in Palm Springs,CA. He had a girl friend with an apartment somewheres. He stayed with me off and on but vanished when I moved out of town, if you could tell him that Sy Kay is looking for him and to get his number if he has one by now or I can give mine out...

Ideally, I am looking for a town or village-type resort, with pool, activities, food, and room all in the same area. (Not just a hotel.) It must be on the beach and it must be in Florida. Something near central Florida is prefered because we will be visiting my grandmother, who lives close Ocala, Florida immediatly before taking this beach vacation. It would be great to find a more adult location, without too many screaming kids running around. In the past I have loved staying at Sandals and Club Med!

I am looking for detailed advice with names of specific resorts that you or someone you know has stayed at. Every web site says their hotel is the best, so I need an unbiased opinion!

I really want to go to Hollywood for my senior trip. Instead of the normal group of teens going off and getting wasted every night, my mom said she would take me wherever. I want to go to los angeles but I didnt know if it was worth it. Is there lots of stuff to do? Do I have a good chance of meeting some known people?

It seems like there is quite a lot of Hawaiian and Samoan people in Seattle area...what is the history/reason behind it? Hawaii and Samoan Islands are not even close from Seattle...and I'm just curious.

I recently moved for my job, and I don't know anybody past my boss. I am 18 and live alone. I'm not a clubber, so dont suggest it. Preferrebly not in downtown because I'm nowhere close to that but if thats all you got go ahead and suggest it. Thanks!

Yes, the land of John Rocker and good ole boys is certainly nowhere close to being a world class venue. Terrible weather, no culture, poorly designed infrastructure, dumb people ..oops, sorry, that probably defines the entire south. The only thing worse than the airport are the Braves. Do the socially inept fans actually still perform that demeaning Native American "chop"?

i have the choice to stay at the Wynn with a friend of mine, or Stay at the Hilton Where the wedding is with a bunch of my friends. i get a discounted rate at the wynn, and i heard the Hilton does not even have that much gambling, is a family oriented hotel, and overall kind of sucks. does anyone have any input on these two places?
