I live here in Vegas, you have to weigh out how much to rent a Uhaul to having to buy new stuff. The house wares are not cheap here!!! You are dealing with CA prices out here. Not meaning rent, it is cheaper than CA, I moved from CA to here. I would keep 1/2 & get rid of 1/2. Good luck!!!

Sell them. Pack the rest in boxes and ship them by US mail, not UPS. You will save a bundle. Did this from Vegas to Charleston, SC years ago.

Sell as much as you can and what you cant sell either give away to friends or to local charities,. . have a garage sale, get rid of as much as you can. Last year I moved from Ft.Lauderdale, Florida to Long Island, New York and what I couldnt sell, I gave to my friends just packed up my 02 Saturn to the rooftops and drove. It was the best way to move, just bought new when I got to NY.

Sell most of them, keep the expensive items. As for prices, they're the same here as in the rest of the country... we might have higher electric or insurance rates, but household items are the same as in SC. We have Walmart & Target, not just Neiman Marcus & Sak's.

i'll be moving there in Sept. and plan only to take what fits into my SUV. i definitely don't want to hassle with renting a uhaul and making more than one trip. my philosophy is minimalism. how much stuff?? and how attached are you??
