i have the choice to stay at the Wynn with a friend of mine, or Stay at the Hilton Where the wedding is with a bunch of my friends. i get a discounted rate at the wynn, and i heard the Hilton does not even have that much gambling, is a family oriented hotel, and overall kind of sucks. does anyone have any input on these two places?

The Hilton is a nice hotel with lots of gambling. You will be happy there. However the Wynn is "top of the line" and even with a discount it will be very expensive. Keep in mind that the table limits will be twice as high at the Wynn. So if you don't have a lot of money to gamble, you probably won't be happy gambling there.

However none of this is what is really important. If the wedding and most of your friends are at the Hilton, that is where you want to stay. I know you think it will be easy just to go over there to hang with your friends, but it doesn't really work well like that. You get separated and isolated being at a different hotel. I know the idea of staying at the Wynn is great, but you just won't have as much fun there away from the bulk of your friends. My friends and I have a guys trip to Vegas every year, and whenever a couple of them stay somewhere else we hardly see them. It works that way every time.

I think when you refer to the Hilton, you are NOT referring to the Flamingo Hilton. With that said here are the benefits of the Wynn and Hilton:

Wynn - has a GREAT (ridiculous, actually) buffet, restaurants, gaming, and bars. It has a lively atmosphere and though it is expensive (very, as pointed out by one of the people that answered) it is well worth it if you can afford to spend a little more. The man made lake, golf course, and plasma screen TV's in every room make the Wynn really fun to stay at. In addition they also have the club TRYST and the show Le Reve that are there conveniently.

Hilton - I really actually like the Hilton also. It is a REAL bargain what they charge compared to the other casinos. You can basically gamble there like any casino, they have pretty much all the games. They have nice restaurants and buffets, bars and lounges too - just not as flashy and nice as Bellagio or Wynn or MGM. The Vegas Monorail (like LV version of the subway, but above ground) has a really convenient stop right at the Hilton so you never even have to get a cab and it gets you to anywhere you like on the strip in about 15 mins. Plus the rooms in the Hilton will surprise you, they are really nice for the price you pay - nothing as glamorous as Wynn, but still very nice.

Hope this helps - it should be a fun time for you either way, good luck bro.

If you have the chance to stay at the Wynn..go for the Wynn. It is extremely lavish.

But if a bunch of your friends are staying at the Hilton then you might have more fun there. The Hilton is much older than the Wynn so you have to decide which is more important. Being in a fabulous hotel, or being with your friends.

There are two Hiltons in Las Vegas - the Las Vegas Hilton and the Flamingo hilton - both are nice but have been there for a while. Both have tons of gambling - the Flamingo (which is right across from Ceaser) has more real Vegas type shows.

However, the Wynn is the newest hotel out there with tons of entertainments.

I could only recommend the Flamingo Hilton over it - but only beacuse it is right in the middle of theLas Vegas strip - for entertainment value the Wynn is probably the better choice.

I have been in both, although not to stay. The Wynn is out of this world, but then it is the newest. If I had to choose, I'd stay at the Wynn

it is up to you, stay at the Hilton, then go someplace else for gambling, eating, having fun, for a cheaper room or stay at the Wynn and pay more for the room, stay there for all the other stuff too.

Well, all the motels you might have selected are moderately practically eachother and are on the south finish of the strip, possibly that's why you selected them. MGM Grand is one in all my favourite motels, I undoubtedly love that motel. The rooms had been potent and secure, and such a lot importantly (to me) the rooms did not odor like smoke. The pool is potent, the eating places are pleasant. I have certainly not fairly visible any celebrities there besides for Kurt Thomas and I assuming he was once in Vegas since he was once traded the day earlier than :) It is the the final give up at the monorail at the south finish and swiftly connects you to the leisure of the strip. New York New York has an potent on line casino. I love the whole thing approximately the bottom flooring. I have heard the rooms have a tendency to be smaller at this motel. Mandalay Bay is potent. One of the Southern such a lot strip motels with mini monorail connecting to Luxor and Excalibur. The motel in its entirety is potent. Good pool. Luxor offers me vertigo, I will almost always certainly not keep there. But the golf equipment are well. LAX is general for superstar sitings. You can even see Carrot Top on any given day! : ) My opt for: MGM grand!
