Anyone every traveled on Amtrak long distance? Did you get run out of things to see or do on the train? Would you do it again?

Yes...fly.

If you really have your heart set on rail, then do it. However there is a reason most people fly, it's cheaper and faster. Rail travel is grossly romanticized and over rated. It's boring to be honest with you, and yes you will run out of things to do quickly. I have travel by rail four times, twice from London to Paris, once on the overnight train from Paris to Rome, and another in England. There really isn't that much to see, some pretty landscape rushing by your window during the day, but that is it. It's better to use the extra money to have more fun and stay longer in Seattle.

Look you might have a nice time, but only on the way there. The trip back will just be a repeat of the same thing. It's just not as much fun as you think it will be. Save those train trip for Europe, where you need to use them. I will actually be visiting Seattle in September and Chicago in October...I love Chicago what a great city.

It all is dependent upon whilst and the way swiftly you wish or have got to get there...But Southwest Airlines for flying... Amtrak by way of educate... And of coarse there may be the imfous Greyhound...
