Let me start with what not to do. Do NOT make a list of things to do. This is not a European vacation where there is a list of things to do. Things are so close to each other, and you will see so many things to do, that you can decide to do it when you see it. If you make a list of things to do, you will NEVER get to do everything, or you will be rushed doing the things that you like.

There are a few things you should plan ahead for:
- You will be doing a lot of walking. In fact, the biggest pasttime for Vegas visitors is not gambling, but walking and seeing the resorts. Go to the Imperial Palace website (www.imperialpalace.com), they have several webcams of the strip, you can see how much walking can be done. Bring a comfortable pair of walking shoes.
- Find out which shows are playing. If there is a show you want to see, you may need to get tickets in advance. Some do sell out weeks in advance (although most do not).
- If you do want to see Hoover Dam, go to the oulet stores, or go to a state/national park, then you would want to find some tour packages.
- Dress for the weather. I don't know when you are going, but summer time is VERY hot, but fall and winter times can actually get very cool. If you are going in November or December, you will need warm clothes.

Some things I would suggest you do are:
- Go Downtown at night, if you are not already staying Downtown. They have free light shows on the hour on Fremont St. Downtown is not as popular or impressive as the strip, but it does have its charm. Something to check out.
- The Bellagio offers it free water show throughout the day out front. The Mirage has a free fire show at night. Something to see at least once.
- Walk the Strip. I already mentioned it, but some of those buildings you truely have to see to believe.

All I can say is to take it in at your own pace so that you can enjoy yourself.

Watch a Cirque du Soleil show, I recommend Mystere. Check out the lion habitat and dolphin habitat. Mandalay Bay has a shark reef aquarium that's pretty cool. Go to the top of the eifel tower and watch the water show at Bellagio. Check out the Volcano show at Mirage, and the Pirate show at TI. Hit the clubs like Studio 54, Rain, Tao, Coyote Ugly. The Bellagio has a buffet that serves out of this world gourmet food!!! The International Buffet at Rio is also fantastic. Ride the rollercoaster at NYNY and/or Stratosphere. If you are staying at a hotel that has a European Style pool (Nude), check it out, it's quiet interesting. Go shopping at Ceasars Forum or the mall thats just right down the strip. Go skydiving (I'm going to do that during my next trip there in a couple of months). Get a players card for each casino you plan on playing in that way you can rack points for comps such as free rooms or discounted rooms.

Once you get there......you wont really question what to do because you wont be bored. Walk through as many hotels as possible while you are there and explore its goodies!!!

Have fun!!!

If you want to do vegas right, you HAVE to at least get VIP passes for the clubs, or go all the way, and reserve a table too. You are going to want to get cabanas by the pool, go check out cirque de soliel. Vegas can be kinda overwhelming for a first timer. Go to this website for more info, and they can also get you all the VIP stuff you want, reservations for everything, they totally take care of you.

Besides the obvious...

1. Try out several of the excellent buffets
2. Take a drive up Mt. Charleston
3. Visit Hoover Dam
4. Spend a day at Lake Mead
5. Visit downtown at night

On the strip, go into all the hotels since they have a different theme. Go see a show (make sure you book it early), eat at a buffet, gondolas@ the Venetian, pirate show@ Treasure Island, go to the pool, walk through the casinos. There is plenty to do there! Go to lasvegas.com for more ideas!

go to the carnival bar outside of harrah's (assuming youre 21). drinks are cheap and you basically get a big cup of liquor w/a splash of mixer (as opposed to the other way around like in most bars). also the bartenders flip the bottles and do special pours, etc. good music and a really nice crowd, everyone really gets into it. fun time.

Gotta hit the clubs! If you decide to, goto www.lvhookups.com to get your VIP passes. Trust me, you'll want them if you go clubbing. Between the lines and cover charges, you'll be happy you did.
