According to yahoo maps from East Northport, Long Island, New York to Las Vegas, NV its 2575 miles thats where I live and I just checked it out about 30 minutes ago. If you can get a direct flight you can make it in 4 1/2 hours otherwise with 1 stop its 6 hours.

Our flight to Vegas from Chicago was about 3.5 hours. And I know that flying to Chicago from NY is about 2 hours or so. So I imagine a direct flight would be between 5-6 hours.
