I'm trying to find a Lighthouse on the Pacific Coast that has or has had a Post Office housed in it ? A friend of mine and I have a bet going. I'm planning a weekend to vegas but noticed the hotel prices are unusually high for the weekend (arriving 4/27 leaving 4/29). Just wondering if anyone knows why rooms at an average 3 star hotels are like $200 a night. If there's something cool going on, I'd love to know since I'll be there anyways. thanks!

I've only been to Honalulu and don't think I could handle the traffic. Last year we stayed in Kona on the Big Island and loved it. Something with the same feel would be great. Travelling with old mother and 2 teenage girls.
