i think Irvine is a better bet because it is close to the school. Check out Orange, Tustin and some of the cities around the area.

Laguna Beach and Irvine are both very expensive...well, all of Orange County and the entire state of California is expensive but both of these communities are middle to upper middle class. Homes average upward of half a million dollars...and half a million would be a fixer upper at best. Irvine though does have good job opportunities. On the other hand neither of those communities are very diverse...you might consider Diamond Bar, Chino Hills or other communities north of Orange County.

If you want diversity then I'd suggest LA county over O.C. I live on the border of both, and I highly prefer LA county. don't get me wrong, O.C. is great too, but to raise a family there has never even crossed my mind, it's very sheltered and conservative in my opinion. Oh, and especially Irvine. don't buy a home there because the Irvine family owns your land... not you. I learned that being a loan officer because I've never refinanced anyone in irvine. Anyway, hope my answer helped.

Laguna Beach has good schools, but be prepared to spend thousands of dollars to keep up with the fashions there and housing starts at 1 milllion.

Laguna is very, very pricey. Irvine is more reasonable but the best place to raise family in lesser expensive area is Mission Viejo. This is a very sophistcated area of Southern CA, so I hope your spelling, punctionation and grammar are better than your question represents or you will find it diffiuclt to get a job there.

Laguna Beach is better than Irvine California, and it is not too racism in there. $30,000 - $100,000

im black n definitely u don want laguna beach....never cn so many white ppl in 1 place in my life. don mean 2 be racist but all the ethnicities there act like white ppl anyways. basically, its nuttin but VALLEY GURLZ which i cant stand!!!

i hav a fren that lives in irvine n she likes it. of course theres white ppl but it has more variety. housing is kinda expensive in both places but cheaper in irvine.

Not too bad in the O.C. cost of living there is pretty high. But pay is better there so it kind of averages out.

Orange county is pretty conservative. Don't expect to be greeted with open arms everywhere.
