Honolulu has it all. Learn this place with this specific hotelbye small help. Honolulu is the house of some of Hawaii's most ancient places. From Iolani Palace, the Kawaiahao Church, the Hawaiian Mission Houses Historic Site and Archive and the treasured artefacts of the Bishop Museum to well-known landmarks like the Aloha Tower, the King Kamehameha I Statue, the Duke Kahanamoku Statue and the historic Hawaii Theatre, Honolulu has, let me make it clear, plenty of exciting places. Honolulu can also be the Hawaii's hot spot for arts, lifestyle and entertainment. Among the places you can't skip from your holydays in Honolulu is Waikiki, the key beach destination of most people heading to Honolulu and the island of Oahu. This area is known for its large crescent formed beach, where readers arrived at rest out in the sun, swim, and learn to surf.

Living here in honolulu i understand about the traffic, so its very hard to get Big Island mood here. Its NATURE there and its a city with nothing to do here except shopping. I love Big Island. Its only place where meaning of Aloha still exist. Stargazing, treking Kilauea is an experience you never forget and feeling that everyday is nice. The only place where i can relax on Oahu is Kailua (nice beaches) or Makaha beach.
How about Ko'olina Resort Mariott? Its close to Makaha, and Waikele Outlet. Better weather there will have a chance to see the stars as well. Aloha

queen kapiolani is really inexpensive in Waikiki and is about 1.5 blocks from the beach. I booked at trip there in Feb and got airfare and hotel for 7 days for $675. It's not posh, but it's clean and close to the beach. And due to it's location (at the end of the strip) traffic is a little less and it's easier to get to the highway, etc
Check out tripadvisor for the scoop on the hotels in Oahu (or anywhere for that matter). It gives you the perspective from the people who stayed there - not the hotel's website.

There's a quaint bed and breakfast in Kailua for 45-60 a night. Clean and comfortable and near the good calm beaches in Lani Kai. Try googling for B&Bs in Kaneohe, HI (Island of Oahu) they're your best bet! Owners are usually very gracious hosts as well. Enjoy your trip! Aloha & Mahalo!

This site can help you find bed and breakfast places and other types of lodging on the quiet side (windward) of Oahu. http://www.alternative-hawaii.com/
Schrader's Inn in Kaneohe is a grouping of cabins of various sizes. http://www.hawaiiscene.com/schrader/ It's very "country" and quiet, and not fancy at all.
But remember if you can't stand cockroaches, you need to stay in a higer-end hotel, because they are a fact of life in the islands and do not connote filth as they do on the mainland.

Yep, the other side of the Island from Honolulu. Call a travel agent, they know them all and it does not cost any more to use them.
