Yes, it is easy to take a bus to Los Angeles from Riverside on a Saturday! I would however recommend using the Metrolink commuter train as the fastest option. Metrolink trains cost only about $6.00 or so as weekend fares are priced at a discount. Service starts around 7 AM and best of all, your train ticket is also valid on connecting MTA bus & subway routes in LA as well as on several other municipal carriers in LA county. If you do prefer a bus to the train between Riverside and LA however, just take Omnitrans route 90 to Montclair transcenter and transfer to Foothill Transit line 480 or the new Silverstreek line into LA from there. Cost via bus will be about the same as the Metrolink train all said and done. I would avoid Greyhound at all costs due to their service being unreliable and the LA station location being in a very bad area, stick with transit. Good luck!

I second roaddogs post -yes take the metrolink
its more fun and clean and safer
there are sheriff deputies on the trains (yes they do double
duty they are both a fare inspector but also will watch out for
criminal activity and can act on it..
you sure wouldn't find a sheriff deputy on a Greyhound
(besides Greyhound has gone to the dogs there is 99.% of
finding the bus full so you would have stand.. or waiting for the next bus which might not come for hours

Use this website to plan your trip http://latranstar.tann.com/tripplanner.asp
You can plan your trip by the fastest itinerary, fewest transfers, or shortest walking distance. It covers San Bernardino, Riverside, LA and Orange Counties. It'll answer all your questions as far as time, cost and what routes to use, either bus or rail. It beats trying to look through RTA, MTA Metrolink and any other transit agency for a schedule.

Wouldn't you rather travel on a nice, clean , comfortable Metrolink train than on a crowed, smelly ,cramped bus?
