Hello,
I'm looking to visit san fran with a couple of friends before I return to uni. I'll be coming over for 8 days, and wish to fit in as much as possible...
I'm not looking for things to do within the city itself, as I can ask my parents...read books etc, but, firstly after working all summer...i would want a day out to chill...beach or something...is there anywhere where we could go, thats relatively close (public transp) where we could fit in a few hrs on the beach?
How far is mexico from san. fran? is it worth going that far? what else would be worth doing with such a short period of time?

cheers!

Matt

So my dad is coming to visit me at the end of April and he wants to go to NY for the weekend since it's 4 hours from me. So I will be having a car to go around the city but I've heard it's impossible to drive thru the city because of the traffic. I've never been there so I want to know from you how hard is to drive around? what are the good places to go to? how much money should I take w me? what tours should I take? Any information you can give me would be great. Thanks!

During WDW pirates and Princess party, you have to buy a special ticket to participate. Is the park open to everyone on those days or is it just available to the families who are invovled with that program?

My fiance and I are planning to move from the Churchhill area (apartment central!) He wants to move to the Great Northwest, but I think it's getting overcrowded out there. I noticed a lot of people are moving in that general direction (Sea World area). Any suggestions?

The nearest decent sized cities are all a good two hour drive away. Rolla is one hour. Where do people go?

Ok have finally decided to go to N.Y and Hawaii for our honey moon in august this year, however I know Hawaii is made up of several islands think will only have time for one. So which one?!! Want GREAT beaches, nice white sand. Dont want to be packed in like a sardine there so somewhere that offers some quieter nice beaches too. Would like to have a few excursions, bit of night life so not just beach only. Can you reccomend where to go then???
Also is there alot of rain in august in hawaii and is it expensive?
thanks!

OKAY;
here is the deal. I am thinking of taking a red-eye (17 hours) from Bangkok to NYC and instead of getting right on another plane to Minneapolis, where I'll be taking my daughter to get settled for college, we're thinking of spending a day and a night in NYC...or maybe just the day....anyhow, we will be on a limited budget, so here's my questions:
1. What would YOU see/do?
2.What do I need to expect to spend?
3.Any places to stay away from?

The flight, as far as I know, will come in to JFK.
Give me some fun ideas...my daughter has never seen the big apple...and it's been a long time for me.

Thanks..have fun dreaming for me.

At the end of May I am going to Washington D.C. on a 7th grade class trip with the Worldstrides program. If you have gone on that trip I was wondering if you enjoyed it. The most important thing I want to know about is if the hotel you stayed at was nice because I was worrying about that so if you could tell what hotel you stayed at, that would be great!!! If could you pretty much give an overview of the trip and describe as much as possible I would appreciate that. Thanks in advance!!!

Cigarette smoke, hookers, gamblers, drunks everywhere... not a great environment for little ones. Why do people bring them to the Casinos on the Strip?

I am thinking about moving from California to Austin, TX in June. I will be purchasing a home there. I have been looking at some great brand new homes build by KB Home in the McKinney Falls/Heights area that is really reasonable. Is this a good area to live (Clean, Safe, Commute to Downtown, Things to do nearby, etc)?
