I'm coming to NYC for a quick visit Dec 28-30, 2006. I grew up in Philadelphia so I have been to the city before. However, its been a while and I'm looking to do some interesting stuff. I'm gay and am interested in some gay-oriented stores but none of the bar scene. Any pointers on what to see and do? I'll be sure to see Rockafellar Center, Empire State Bldg, Times Square, etc.... But was looking for some other interesting and maybe off the beaten path type of stuff. I'll be staying at the Hilton at 529 Lexington.

I am considering transferring to Cornell University. I am interested in the IRL program. My main concern in the huge size of the student population and campus. And the fact that it is in Ithaca. Have you ever heard of it? The Tortiose was a bus that took people across the U.S. for an very low fare. It was mostly used by Hippies and Rainbow People. I think it started it's run out of San Francisco. Does it still exist? Any info or experience stories would be appreciated

I'm from So Cal and we're used to very mild weather. But thinking of moving to Raleigh. Be honest: If you've actually lived in the Raleigh area, please tell me what the typical summer and winter are like. Buggy, miserably hot/cold, lots of snow, ice, what? What months?
